Disney Gift Cards at Sam's with $10 Bonus Disney Store

Today at Sam's Club they had $100 Disney gift cards plus a bonus $10 gift card for Disney Store (or Disneyshopping.com) for $98.87. Hope this helps some of you who are lucky enough to have a Disney Store.

I think the bonus $10 was good at the Disney Store, I don't think it is an extra $10 Disney gift card.

the $ 10 card can only be used at a Disney Store not at WDW...that was a bummer for me as no store near me at all.

You know I read all the fine print when I was there and thought I was good, but rereading it after you both said this I guess it isn't such a great deal. I guess if you have a Disney Store it would be, we don't. I will go change the OP. Too good to be true, but at least I only bought one that I will use for sure. Thanks for the info.

Wish I had a Sam's near me. No DisneyStore, but I usually make a few online purchases throughout the year and could use the $10 ones....might be worth it to make the drive if this lasts long or happens very often.

It says can't be used for Gift Card or Disney Dollar purchases, so I think you 'd be fine using it for tickets.

We have been members of Sam's for 15 years and can't remember the last time if ever we have seen Disney GCs there. They offer many GCs at a better discount at Christmas for restaurants and such (I also bought Outback ones today) and they are always available though the holidays.

I thought that is what I read too but the bonus $10 cards are for the Disney Store, the $100 GCs are for Disney World.

That was my hope but when I went to Store Locator on the Disney Stre website WoD didn't come up. You know it may be worth a phone call, I will do that later once everyone is off to school and will find out. WoD is where I plan to spend 95% of our money so that would be great!

OK, I couldn't get a person calling WoD, so I called The Disney Store in Orlando and asked them and they said no, the WoD is not the same as The Disney Store, yo uwould have to use it at one of the 2 Disney Store locations there or any Disney Store or Disney Shopping but no where on Disney Property.

Can I use the 100.00 gift card at the Disney store (to buy tickets) along with the 10.00 disney store gift card? Another question, Can I also buy these gift cards to purchase the Disney Dining plan? If we have to pay 900.00 for the DP and I can get another 90.00 for free I can use those to help pay for tickets. So 180.00 off my ticket purchase (tickets will cost us 963.83). Seem like a good deal.

Silly question but did you have to pay tax on the gift card? I know normally you don't, but that is an odd price to begin with. I have never bought GCs at Sam's before.

and did you pay cash for them? or put them on your Sam's card? I know some stores will only let you pay with cash or debit cards for GCs now.

No, no tax. Sam's numbers are always a bit odd I find. And I charged them, I mean it's my bank card but in order to get my rewards I have to use it as a charge, no problems. I bought Outback ones too and didn't have issue.

no tax on gift cards. I work at Sam's locally and the price you're getting the gift card for is what Sam's had to pay for it.

We don't typically make money on gift card sales.

Just for the record, the Disney Store bonus card cannot be used to buy tickets. Says so on the back of the card.

The regular $100 Disney gift card can be used toward tickets.

I haven't opened mine yet, but on the paper around the GC it just says not for use on Disney Dollars and Gift Cards. Not sure if the card itself says differently or if some are different.

ETA-I just opened it and it does in fact say not for use on Theme Park passes. Sorry, the outside doesn't say that on mine for some reason.
