Disney Gift Cards accepted @ some DTD restaurants

I know they ARE NOT at Anaheim DTD but since they take the Disney Dining Plan at the places in Orlando DTD would they accept the Disney Gift Cards?

Nov 2012 Rainforest cafe took ours. At the time it was a new policy. i would call to double check. We use gift cards for everything.

We did this on our cruise. We are lucky we get 20 cents off 30 gallons of gas for every $50 we spend ($12 per hundred). For our cruise we added them all upfront to our account then deducted things as we went checking balance everyday. We paid taxes, tips and port fees all with gift card I gotta admit I love paying taxes and getting money back. wish I could do that with IRS LOL. We got enough in gas to nearly pay for our youngest DD fare . We didn't think to do that at WDW and kept the extra gift cards on us which always made me worry we might drop them. With the new magic bands it might be a better option to deposit them at resort. I tend to be a bit reluctant to spend on myself and gift cards let me let loose at WDW. They are spent. I cant use them somewhere else so I cant feel guilty, I get that over with when I buy them
