Disney Gift Cards 10% off at Target!!

I have a 5% coupon from a coupon book. I not a red card holder. Coupon says no gift cards but it sounds like Disney card is considered entertainment. Will they have to call a manager or will it just ring through.

I used this coupon also. Not problem whatsoever.

Ok i might not quite understand all this. I shop at Target a lot but never signed up for the red card. But if we get the red card, we can buy Disney gift cards at Target fir 5% off?? Ive never seen Disney cards in our store, only target cards. Help!

Look in the entertainment area, where Target sells DVDs, CDs and such. There should be a rack with gift cards from restaurants, iTunes, Disney and others. All of these gift cards get 5% off when purchased with the Target Red Card.

Targets around here only have the $50 disney gift cards. There have been times when they are sold out, so I would just ask someone in the electronics dept.

Yes, you can just ask someone in the electronics. The recently moved some up near the registers at our store. They only come in $50.

Yup, no more $25 ones here in Grand Rapids either. The spot for the Disney ones over in the electronics section is empty, but I found plenty of $50 ones available near the registers.

Huh, for me it is the exact opposite. I am never able to find any by the registers, usually plenty in electronics. Anyways, if you want them and can't find them ask someone:) One time they went to the back or somewhere and grabbed 10 of them.

Hummm...I have never noticed Disney gift cards at our Target. I get the 5% off Pharmacy discounts all the time (guess we have a lot of RX's) but I never thought to look for the Disney gift cards there when I use the discount. I almost always buy a $25 one with my groceries every week and save them to take on our trips to apply to our room charges. Now I'll have to think about looking for them at Target instead. I hope mine has them!!

Thanks for the tip! We don't have the pharmacy coupon but still, saving $40 is better than nothing! I took out 2/3 of their gift cards, though.

Thanks for the information. Appreciate it.

Question: I scratch off the PIN area right now as I will need those numbers if they're lost or stolen. Correct?

Plus you need receipts if that ever happened. Is that how it works?

How this works -

Gift cards are a great deal for the retailer. About 30% of gift cards are never redeemed, so those are basically giving money to the retailer. This means that Disney can sell Target the cards at a discount, and Disney still makes money due to the loss. The cards sold through a venue like Target have even bigger non-redemption stats than the ones sold direct (Target cards at Target, Disney cards from the Disney store) because they are often given as gifts from people who love Target to people who shop at Walmart by habit (for instance), or well intentioned people giving their grandkids a giftcard for Disney that Mom forgets when she packs.

Bumping for new page.

There's a 25% off Disney Entertainment items in today's Target add. I wonder if it would work for gift cards?

I'm thinking not...

(see the fine print below that is behind the coupon in the weekly ad)

• Disney Junior DVD or • Disney Channel DVD or • Nickelodeon video game or • Nickelodeon book or • Nickelodeon DVD. Limit one item per coupon, one coupon per household.

I will find out today from my DDs and let you know. My oldest DD was just promoted to a team lead so she has better access to info.

We're going to WDW in early December so after reading this I'm wondering how much in gift cards to get at Target. What can I pay for with Disney gift cards there? We have a dining plan? Can I pay with tax and tip using gift cards? Are there any shops or restaurants that don't take them? I'm hoping to get some Christmas gifts there.

When we went in March, my DDs and I used them for everything. The only problem I had was remembering which where the full amount and which ones had what amount left.

Someone recommended that you use them to pay off your bill at the desk. So I was fortunate to go back in May. We had our credit card on our room key. Every other day I went down to the front desk and paid it off with my Disney cards - much easier and the CM were always wonderful. It was easier to keep track of our spending too.

If you charge everything onto your room card, then as the previous poster said, pay your balance off using your gift cards. Some places that took the gift cards that surprised me were having caricatures made at WL and dining at Wolfgang Puck Cafe.

Thanks for this thread. I just signed up for a Target Red Card for the free shipping on some Christmas presents so I will definitely keep an eye out for that coupon if I am lucky enough to receive onepixiedust:
