Disney gift card

If we purchase gift cards at the Disney store here, can we use them in DW? What if they are bought with Canadian currency, or would they need to be purchased in American dollars. Both kids have b-day and Christmas presents that I could tell family members maybe they would want to give them gift cards instead to take on the trip. Anybody know?

I would think that you would have to buy it in the states due to currency exchange.. I would call your Disney Store and ask them to be sure.
