Disney Gift Card with new AP purchase.

No , if you buy now your 1 year starts on day of purchase, not activation

I thought you have one year to activate, but the expiration of the pass starts from your activation. Yay today, have to activate by July 21, 2026, but you pass privileges begin when you activate it.
This is correct. And in fact, the CM told me that specifically, when she read me all the AP rules and the web address for the AP T&C, which I had to verbally consent to follow! We have until 7/21/26 to activate them, but then our year of use starts the day we activate them.

Very interesting. They go from stopping all AP purchases to giving a free gift card in only a couple of years.

Yeah it's pretty clear who didn't want annual passholders and it's also pretty clear that regime no longer has any control in the parks.

I wouldn’tcall a giving a $75 dollar gift card exactly giving a loving embrace to passholders. They still haven’t put the kabosh on the reservation system.

They've thrown bones here and there but yeah they are certainly drunk on the data that the AP reservation system gives them. Evidently, AP holders haven't pushed back hard enough on them.

One year to activate the voucher into a pass. Once you go into the park with the pass, the pass is good for a year of use.

Wonder if it applies to APs purchased with points? If I have time later today, I will call to ask.

It’s not the 50th anniversary anymore.

Remember when DVC used to give DVC members discounts on passes. Then that one year they had the huge discount on the most expensive pass ( platinum I think at that time) for the price of gold). Those were the good old days. Not as good as the early DVC days when you bought DVC you got free tickets to the park.

Yep, remember it well. They had the Premium Annual Pass on sale for $399...

Curious question, my AP is still active for another 2 months. Due to our trip schedules, I had planned to let it lapse and just buy a new one before the next trip instead of renewing (to not lose multiple months of non-use). Can I buy a voucher for a new pass while my current one is still active?

Like a few others on this thread, we just bought ours a couple of weeks ago but don’t plan to activate them for months. We called to check to see if we could still get gift cards but to no avail. We are not surprised but has Anyone else had any different experience?

When is the start date for this offer? We just bought our annual passes last week!
