Disney Gift Card Deals

So this is even more disturbing when you look into it! It looked like GCM suddenly pulled their Target Cards from the listing (Few $100 and $50 cards sold). GCM has its own website, and on their website that have every denomination of Target Cards available for Mail delivery (6 different denominations)...

In case the whole target gift card mall thing is "dead" (I'm not jumping to any conclusions just thinking down the road) how much can you buy through paypal digital per certain time frame? I mean without locking down your PayPal account or anything? I know they don't have target cards but there are some other options to cash out my eBay cards.
I'm curious as well as to PPDG limits also if those getting locked out are trying to pay exclusively with GCs or PayPal/gc mix. I asked this a couple pages back and got no bites....

My experience on PPDG is when I tried to use a $25ebay gc to buy $20 Ghirardelli I got locked out on one account and the second they never sent to me and I got a refund. When I used that $25 gc to get a $40 for $50 iTunes code and paid the $15 out of PayPal there was no issue and I received the code within an hour of ordering. I'm wondering if it's the eBay gc paying the balance in full triggering the lockout.

When I got locked out, I never even made it to the page where I could choose a form of payment. I was trying to make a purchase not using gift cards, but there was no way they could have known since they wouldn't even let me get that far.

:offtopic: I just had to share... My daughter's class is going to the County Fair for the last day of school. I went onto Groupon and purchased two unlimited ride wristbands for $15 each (they are normally $30 each). I went through Ebates, so received 15% cb plus had an Ebates coupon for $10 bonus on a $20 purchase. So, I got ride bands worth $60 for $15.50!

I would never have been able to do this without the info gleaned from this thread! Thank you to everyone!

I have only done one transaction using PPDG so far, but I can share my experience. I bought a $50 ebay gift card through MyGiftCardsPlus on swagbucks. Received that via email within a few hours. Then I went to ebay and bought a $50 hotels.com card through PPDG. Wanted to try a small amount just to see what would happen and I needed to book one night at a hotel anyway. Paid for the order completely with the ebay card and had no issues. Hotels.com card was emailed to me within a couple of hours. So, based on that I wouldn't say the lockouts are being caused strictly by paying for the whole order with gift cards. I am wondering if it's really just a random thing that happens on some transaction and not others. I know that doesn't offer any insight really, but that's what I think anyway.

I bought a couple items online Tuesday using my paypal account (at non eBay stores) just because then I don't have to give my credit card info to various websites and then bought a $50 Best Buy digital gift card. I then used that gift card to buy stuff from Best Buy online with in store pickup. It was a test to see if I could use it toward a Disney gift card (bought a $25 camera bag and a $25 Disney gift card). After that all worked I was considering buying more Best Buy cards to try to churn for eBay cards. However PayPal locked me out. I called which was a waste of time as the rep said my account was fine and to try using another device....BAD, BAD advice. I tried this with my iPad and PayPal went nuts-my phone started ringing off the hook from the automated fraud department and requiring me to log into my PayPal account from a known device and enter a code I was given during the phone call and change my password. I called back and spoke to another representative who said my account was restored and to try again. Same thing happened and I got sick of the calls, logging into my account to prove it was me and changing my password so I gave up. That's why I wanted to know what the PPDG limit is so I don't go through this again (I'm assuming the multiple online transactions triggered the fraud alert but it was such a PIA I don't want it to happen again especially during a ebucks promo)

I see that GCM sells Landry gift card. Does anyone know if they are accepted at Yak and Yeti. We plan to eat there in November.

I don't think it's multiple transactions. Both my account and my mom's account were locked out on the first purchase attempt.

Yes! I'm able to get them through a work rewards program and we've used it there twice. The $50 is just enough for the two of us to each get an entree and a drink & share an app!

That's great! I think I will order $100 because we have 4 of us going.

I'm going to step away from this thread for a little while...it's making me anxious:scared:.

I looked at the Target website and saw that they no longer have eBay gift cards AT ALL:scared1:. Sure, this may just be temporary, but it still makes me anxious. Then, I see that GCM is still completely sold out of Target GC's and I am sitting on $450 of my vacation money tied up in eBay gift cards:eek:. That makes me VERY nervous.

Like PP's have mentioned, this could just be temporary, but if I sit and dwell on this and obsess over this thread, I'm going to lose what few marbles I have left:crazy2:.

I have over $2k tied up in ebay, about $1k of that is needed for our WDW trip so I can relate...nothing we can do but wait and see how it shakes out...I'm optimistic that it's temporary. I can't see how pulling Target would be a good financial decision. I've long thought Target was getting the short end here but I think eBay and GCM are doing well on this deal but maybe I am missing something.

As long as Target still sells eBay GCs in store and accepts GC-for-GC payment, I can live without the extra REDcard discount and Ebates from buying online. GCM selling Target GCs makes the process very convenient (and mostly reliable) for large orders during Bucks bonuses, if only because I have mixed success with buying GS and BB GCs from PPDG. If you're ever "stuck" with eBay GCs and can't get Target, your exit strategy can still be to buy GS or BB and then Disney from those stores.

That sounds good, but not if we can't buy BB with PPDG. Or is there another way to buy Best Buy from eBay? I do see GS from GCM but not BB.[/QUOTE]

Has anyone found a way to buy Paypal Cash gift cards? The only place I've seen them is through Swagbucks. I haven't found them on eBay, but may not be searching correctly, so figured I'd ask.

Wost case scenario, you can just buy the disney gift cards on ebay. There are no authorized sellers selling them but they pop up all the time from individual sellers at face value. Not the ideal scenario but at least you can get the money you need for your trip.

Right, that is exactly my back-up plan. I'm not terribly concerned. I mean, I don't want this all to come to an end, but I shop on ebay quite a bit. I buy a lot of things there that I used to buy from Amazon, and they are cheaper than Amazon usually. So, I can totally spend the ebay GC's :) But, yes, that is my worst case. I am in no rush (trip not til Sept) so I'm comfy sitting and waiting.

FYI I've never seen Disney gift cards at GS.. although the ebay to BB exit strategy would definitely work. On another note in regards to GS GC to GC churning, I for the first time had a scare trying to buy ebay cards in store today. The store manager (someone I've dealt with numerous times with these types of purchases recently - thankfully) had to call the district manager before allowing me to purchase $600 worth of ebay with physical GS gift cards I got last week. He said he has to call in all "large dollar amount" GC to GC purchases now due to "a lot of fraud going on with these types of purchases in the area." Since the cards were physical (and he knew me) he got the authority no problem but said had they been printed versions, he would've turned me away. So of course I asked about using physical cards in the future JIC, (especially given all GCM outages lately) and he said if its a large dollar amount he'd still have to make the call to cover his own because its policy now but that I shouldn't see a problem.

Long story short since this is similar to a story someone else mentioned on here recently, I now officially classify GS GC to GC purchases as YMMV. One way to circumvent could be to split up the purchases amongst days or different stores since he said "large dollar purchases" of course.
