But I can still PAY with a different method of payment, right? Because I don't want to actually pay with the debit card; I want to use my credit card that I get points on.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm not following why you would want to apply for the Target debit card if you plan to pay with a credit card that earns you points. You won't get the additional 5% off online unless you either pay with the Target card or have the Target card as your default payment but actually pay with a Target gift card. I may have misunderstood what you were saying though.

Yes sorry, I mean pay with a Target gift card. I buy the gift card elsewhere with my credit card (thus getting points) and then use that to purchase the Disney gift cards, getting the extra 5% off with the red card set as default payment (but changing to the gift card in checkout). Correct?

Try Cardpool. They are always at 7%. The others fluctuate, but Cardpool does not seem to.

I believe you have to do it in store with a voided check (for proof of account and routing number).

You can do it online. I just did it the other day. You do need your routing numbers and account number.

So I just went through the whole process to verify immediately, and it said it failed!?! Now I have to wait 3-5 days. Well that's irritating.

I also "Opted" for the "Verify Instantly" and it asked me for my online banking account details (username and password). It was successful but it still told me it would several days to "Approve" my account.

The same thing happened to me. I am waiting for the letter they said they would send to me in the mail within 7-10 business days. What?!?

Was able to place a total of 21 orders through the PayPal link. Used gift cards purchased at Giant Eagle with a rewards credit card to get an additional $3.50 discount on each order so essentially paid $39.25 for every $50! Wish GE would have had double fuel perks but can't win them all I guess!

Maybe I am doing something wrong. I am pretty computer savvy so I am hoping it's not something obvious, but when I logged into "Paypal" I found the link and clicked on "USE". Another page presented it self with directions to

1. Click "Shop Now."
2. You'll see the offer in your cart during checkout.

and it takes me to the Target Website. It is not in my cart, so I search for it thinking I have to "Add" it and then I will get the discount. No dice. Took it to just before paying and it said $50.00 was the total instead of the anticipated $45.

I purchased $50 Disney gift cards with Target gift cards. Each $50 Disney gift card cost me $42.75 in Target gift cards on the checkout page....received the $5 PayPal discount and $2.25 red card discount on each.

How are you all first purchasing your discounted Target Gift Cards? We are taking our first Land and Sea trip for 2017 but want to start saving as soon as possible. I have the Disney Visa. I was thinking about using that for the 1% back to purchase a gift card on Cardpool, and then doing the Paypal deal to purchase the Disney Gift Cards that way. Is that the best deal I can possibly get?

How are you all paying your initial trip deposits? Just regular out of pocket?
