Disney Gift Card Deals

I'm still seeing tax on the Disney gift cards on Target.com no matter how many, what denomination I choose. I'm glad I don't "need" any right now so I hope they resolve this for the folks that are still being charged the tax. What a mess!

I placed 2 separate orders this morning. If I used my browser, it added tax. I tried the Target app on my phone and was able to place the orders with no tax added.

Yes I did get it...It just took longer than I was used to. I even emailed them. I think I get nervous with these websites so if it doesn't come right away...I panic. Anyway it came late in the afternoon the next day. They emailed me back and let me know it was coming too. So I felt better.
They ended up calling me and required me to confirm my info by answering security questions. I told her that I just did that with my first order a few days prior and she said I had to do it on every order- so weird. I doubt I'll order from Card Pool again. Too much hassle having to reconfirm myself with every order lol

Was it on Target? I'm surprised it let you check out. I am never able to add more than 3 $100 cards.

Woot!! This will be a timesaver when sending my cards to my TA. I still need to set up a DVA.
Yes, it was on target.com for $400, and it did let me check out, but then they emailed me saying they had cancelled my order. I was able to place another one for $300, no problem.

I haven't used my Discover card in ages and they just sent me an offer to get $100 cash back if I spend $1,000 by August 31. I will buy $1,000 worth of Disney gift cards at Target and get $100 back! Probably a targeted offer, but it wouldn't hurt to see if you can get it!

How did you get this? Was it via email? This is a nice promo.

I've never ordered from Cardpool before and after the experience I've had, I doubt that I will again.
On July 15th, I ordered a $200 Target GC. It never did show up in my transactions, but the full amount was debited from my bank acct. I wrote them the next day and was told I didn't get the card and the charge would fall off.
Instead of falling off, the whole amount went through. I wrote them again Friday about it (still having no transactions showing on my Cardpool acct). This morning I got another e-mail telling me to ignore the first e-mail because the order had gone through; I just need to call them to do the verification.
In the meantime, I bought the gc from Raise so I no longer need the one from Cardpool. I've e-mailed them again telling them to just reverse the charge.
We'll see what happens. I may just have to call my bank tomorrow and dispute the charge.

So, with the news that now gift card balances can be combined, does anyone know if an e-gift can be combined onto a hard gift card now for use in the parks?

I had a minor issue with CardPool the first time I ordered from them. I received a gift card code that was not valid. They cancelled my order and refunded my money, which showed up back in my PayPal account within about 3 days. Since then, I have not had a single problem with them. In fact, I have frequently received my gift card information BEFORE I receive my confirmation e-mail. I have received my codes within minutes of placing the order and I have not received another "bad" card.

I have used Raise, CardPool and CardCash so far and I've not had any major issues with any of them. I typically check to see who has the biggest discount on the denomination that I am looking for at the time and go with them. I know that CardPool and Raise have lifetime limits on rebates through their affiliate marketing sites (Sunshine Rewards, Swagbucks, and TopCashBack) so I look at CardCash first, but lately, CardPool has had Target cards consistently at 7% off.

Hopefully CardPool will get their act together and improve their customer service. I see people have also had issues with CardCash too so I think it is really hit or miss. As long as they make it right, I am willing to deal with the hassle, especially considering the amount of savings involved.

For some reason mine calculated tax yesterday. I submitted anyway (we leave in two weeks so I was just going to shrug off the couple of dollars.) When I got my shipping confirmation the tax was no longer there. It was listed as zero.

I get these offers all the time from Discover by mail. We tend to use 1 cc for all purchases but have several Discover cards with open accts. Every so often I get a promo that if I spend so much $ in a certain time frame on the card, I'll get bonus points (redeem for gift cards at a lower rate or cash). I usually switch card use to do that. Works well.

On another note....

Ordered my disney gc from Target and got an email that they just got in a shipment. I bought $300 worth. So they shipped $200 and I haven't heard about the other $100 yet. Has this happened to anyone?

I placed 5 orders over the weekend, each had (3)$100 Disney gift cards. They all have already shipped and none of the orders were split like yours. Did you try contacting them about it?

Does CVS carry Disney cards? If they do, do they allow you to buy one with a CVS gift card?

Just realized my target order included tax, after I had submitted it. Hope mine drops it to 0 when I get the ship notice!

Just a heads up for anyone who goes to use the Kroger 4x coupon. It is apparently a one time use coupon.
After I used it, it disappeared from my downloads, and it no longer even shows up on the site for me.
So be sure to get all the cards you need in one transaction.

I don't see a coupon. Boo!

Ya I guess I better... It's odd and I havent heard anything

No, they will not let you use a CVS gift card to purchase a different gift card. I have asked at both the CVS stores in my area and they both said no. Boo!
