Is there a trick to using Raise? I set up an alert and by the time the email comes through, the card it already gone.
I turned the email feature off.
Probably you and another million people receive that email at the same time, and at least one of those million people is faster than you(and me). I just check periodically and sometimes luck out seeing one or more at a % off that I am willing to buy.

Like what was said above, I ignore the emails too. I use my Raise App on my phone whenever I go shopping. Say I'm at Lowe's and I'm ready to check out. I stop by one of the price scanner machines that are interspersed throughout the store, and add up my items and figure out what the final price will be. I fire up my Raise app, and buy a Gift Card for about that total at usually 6-11% off. I then check out, and show the cashier my Gift Card code on my phone, and they type it in, and instant savings!

Always check Raise whenever you are going shopping to see if the discounts at that store are worth your trouble. Target, Lowe's, Home Depot, are some of my favorites.

Don't you have to wait for the gift card in the mail?

Ooh, good tip. I have been wondering if I am missing out by not using Raise for other things but I was hesitant due to the inability to just load the balance onto another card for protection. NEVER occurred to me to buy on the fly when I am there and can thus spend it immediately. Thank you for the clue by four to the head! :D

Just be aware that not all deliveries are instant. I ordered an e-gift card from Eddie Bauer and headed out to the mall (20 minutes away) and I still had to kill another half-hour before the card showed up in my account. I'm not sure why it took so long because I, too, have bought the Home Depot cards in the store and they were there within minutes. I just thought I'd give you a heads up.

Do people do the the raise/target/Disney gift card deals to purchase southwest airfare as well? I seen target sold southwest gift cards but I didn't know if it could be done, don't remember seeing anyone talking about it.

I did. My airfare was $318 so I bought $300 worth of (SWA) gift cards and paid $260.78 for them. I got the Target gift cards at an 8.5% discount.

I've also had delayed delivery of e-cards. The most memorable when I was headed to Sam's to buy a TV. I tried to buy a $500 Sam's card on Raise and the fraud detector on my card got triggered and by the time I agreed to it, we had already purchased the TV.
I've also had instant delivery of e-cards for Bath & Body Works and Old Navy where I used them right away to complete my on-line check out.

I believe there is a max # of gift cards/payment types you can use on the Southwest site. I want to say 3 or 4??

I believe it is 4 total forms of payment. Target had $200 SWA e-cards so I bought one of those and a $100 e-card too.

I.just used raise to buy target and then used target to buy Landrys to supplement my birthday $25. I never thought about buying on the fly...

I also was comfortable with target because I could combine them with a real one.

Btw...those who asked me about target splitting my order. They said they were splitting but I got all three gcs all at once...thank goodness.

AHHH! I'm on the Target mobile app and when I click on the main card I want to combine..."combine" is not an option! I only get "add" and it doesn't do anything!!!!

Help please!!!!

I went to order a gift card from Target and they want to charge me $3 tax? Whaaaaaa? I have to pay taxes IN DISNEY...Why should I pay taxes twice?

The APP doesn't work for me either. I can only do it on the Target Mobile website.

Has anyone been able to go to Lowes to buy Disney gift cards using a Lowe's gift card? Raise has Lowe's gift cards and if I could use them to go towards Disney gc I'd be a happy girl.

I called my local store and asked but they said they'd have to have a manager exchange my lowes gift card for cash, then I could buy the gift card and that just seems very odd to me.
