By the way, in case anyone missed the thread, you can now go to disneygiftcard.com and store all your gift cards AND COMBINE THEM!! You cannot have a balance of more than $1000 on a single card and you can only have a maximum of 5 cards at a time. This development has been the highlight of my week!

hmm.. We used Disney Gift Cards purchased 5% off with my Target Red Card to pay our Disney Cruise. Do you think I can use DisneyGiftCard.com for on-board expenses? Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, Port Parking, Tips, etc.

This is just a way to consolidate multiple cards on to one, so, yes. If you collect a bunch of $50 or $100 Disney gift cards from Target, just use one of them as your primary card. Then transfer all of the rest of them onto that card. It's not like the DVA which can do the same thing, but requires you to keep the account open, deposit the card values and then request a consolidated card via the mail.

Well, Gift Card Bin has Target cards for 8% off right now. I will just stick with my DVA for the moment. I know it can be spotty, but I have yet to have any problems with it, other than it being down. At least I can rack up an extra $40-$60 in bonuses with them.

That's pretty cool! Thanks for the info!

Is that safe? Is it an actual Disney site?

OMGosh, this is outstanding news! Vacation life should be so much easier now! Thank you so much for posting this info. I just got a target card from site a previous poster mentioned. I love saving money for vacation!

Thanks for the help. I placed an order for 4 $100 cards last night and saw that it was chargin me tax. I figured I would wait and see when they ship it and actually charge me, if it sows up or not. I received an email this morning that they had cancelled my order due to high volume. :(
So I tried agian this morning with 3(there was no limit listed on the site) and it didn't charge me tax this time. I'm using Chrome BTW.
So now I'm waiting to see if the order will actually go through or not...

Was it on Target? I'm surprised it let you check out. I am never able to add more than 3 $100 cards.

Woot!! This will be a timesaver when sending my cards to my TA. I still need to set up a DVA.

Question.....what about Disney Gift Cards that are rechargable? I have a really cute Tinkerbell gift card that I got as a gift one year and I can't bring myself to throw it away, lol.....can I add up to $1000 worth of Target's Disney cards to THAT card?

Yes, I would think so. As long as you have the account number and security code, you can make Tink your "Primary card" on disneygiftcard.com and then transfer amounts from new GCs to the Tink one.

For those getting charged tax - Sometimes the Target site would let me put more than 3 $100 cards in my cart and checkout. Whenever I had more than 3 I got charged tax, but when I cleared my cart and added only 3 I didn't get charged tax. I did this on the same day with the same browser (Firefox) and it made a difference, so might be worth a try?

Also I just want to say... :disrocks: :thanks: to everyone on this forum!!! I had absolutely no idea about this gift card process until I read this thread and I'm SO THANKFUL for it! It took some time & effort to snag high discount target cards, but it was so worth it! In the end I got $2550 worth of Disney gift cards for $2207.62 :cloud9: :cheer2: Thank you all so much for sharing such valuable info and tips on here!

I have a pharmacy reward for 5% off as well as my red card. Can you use them both at the same time for gift cards?

Thanks so much for the info. I haven't used them before so I only purchased a small amount!

I just found this site and wondered why I hadn't heard of it before, I assume they just started consolidating cards, it was very exciting.

I'm still seeing tax on the Disney gift cards on Target.com no matter how many, what denomination I choose. I'm glad I don't "need" any right now so I hope they resolve this for the folks that are still being charged the tax. What a mess!

Yea this is a long overdue great feature. I'll still use DVA to pay off my vacation to get the 2% back but now instead of bringing a bunch of cards to Disney to pay down room charges, you can just bring 1 or 2. Very awesome.
