Disney Gift Card Deals

Yep, been banned since my December Trip. Was very aggressive with ebucks..newbee churner... and bought a couple of grand worth of ebay(from Target) in one day:oops:. Found a work around for that but didnt think that CardCash was going to allow Target to verify their account against Target.como_O:headache:
Sorry to hear that ☹️
I have tried to always slowly buy my Disney cards but over the past year I have bought a substantial amount so I always hold my breath a little when I place the order. I do order other stuff online too though so I hope that helps

Haha, "abuse the system" by placing orders at their stated rate? If I was reusing a specific coupon intended to be used once, using stolen credit cards, fine, but if they only want me to buy X amount of gift cards ever, they should state that up front; I had ordered plenty of gift cards before that for our two previous trips and they had shipped them, but it wasn't until the motherload order that they gave a rip. Their reasoning is entirely arbitrary, as evidenced by the fact that a rep can't tell me why they blocked me. I'm sure you're right that I triggered some algorithm. That doesn't make it abuse of the system and Target should switch me back on. No reason why I shouldn't get the same discount as everybody else just because I'm buying more--in a sane world, that would make me a great customer.

I have to say you're being a bit two-sided here. On one hand, you say you weren't abusing the system as if you were just using it as intended. On the other hand, you say you used the "trick" to buy tens of thousands of dollars worth of cards at a discount, well knowing this is not the way the site was meant to work because you call it a trick.

Aside from that... Can you share what volume you did thru what time periods? You only said 5-digits, which could be $10,000 (not much at all) all the way up to $99,000 (absurd amount). Concealing the amounts doesn't really help anyone pin down the levels that get one blocked. I don't believe their reasoning is arbitrary. Surely the person who blocked you is in one department and the rep you're talking to has no clue who that person is, nor why they blocked you. This may be by design. If they tell you the reason, you can plan to circumvent it. Right? Target would not want you to know the exact reason, else people would just try to skate right up to that line but not cross it. I don't believe they are obligated to give an explanation.

Can you just buy your remaining cards in store? You'll still get the 5% off if you pay w your Red Card.

So I made a purchase on target.com today and bought 1 $50 Disney card and some toys. I just checked ebates and I only got credit for the toys. So it definitely appears to me that the ebates glitch has been fixed by target since it has been reported by multiple people the past few days. Interestingly I got credit for the full toy purchase price even though I had used that $10 off promo code/red card discount to discount the price of the toys. I noticed the same thing the other day (I bought stuff online for in store pickup and even though there was a discount with my red card and promo codes I got credit for the full amount)

Well, that's a bummer. :( Options are drying up.

Refresh my memory...is there still a $1000 every 30 days limit to purchasing via PPDG?

I was sitting at $975 since 5/17 and tried to buy $125 on 5/31 and I had to play the locked/unlocked PP game. Once I got the account completely unlocked (and I didn't need to call this time), I tried a $25 card and it went through OK. So, before I lock myself out again, I wanted to see if I would even be able to use my remaining $100 eBay card at PPDG.

In March I bought over $3000 from them in one month, so I would say no. However that wasn't without some problems and I still have problems with them to this day (albeit not as often because I haven't been buying as much from them lately).

Just adding to the statements that Ebates only credited for my printer ink and not the $300 in Disney cards from Target earlier this week.

I found this on eBay....this reaks of a scam! How can eBay even allow this listing?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Commemorati...815390?hash=item3d1c3dc59e:g:YzwAAOSwnFZXUXYM

I like the quote at the end...in order to prevent fraudulent purchases, it won't be sent out until 21 days after the payment has been received and it will be sent via USPS. There is no way this person is going to actually include $2500 in gift cards with the item that they've listed as having no value. For certain, if someone actually buys this, they will receive exactly what is advertised...a $50 Disney gift card with no value on it, and they will have no recourse.

Is the Card Cash coupon one time use per account? Not sure if I should hold out for a higher percentage.

Funny. That seller has all positive feedback so doesn't seem like a scam seller, other than the strange listing.

Update on my CardCash experience...

I tried the previously mentioned $20 purchase, and by the time I'd finished mentioning it here, it was cancelled. I thought perhaps Paypal was "protecting" me, so I tried again, this time getting 3 $15 cards and a $5 card at 3.something percent discount, then adding the 4% code.

I just got the email that that sale has also been cancelled. I called the customer service to ask if there was anything I was doing wrong, and the foreign-sounding gentleman told me at first that he didn't think that code worked on Target... so I read him the banner that is still at the top of the page. Then he told me the trick is to click OUTSIDE the box (the box where you put the code in, I think he meant) but looking at the page, there are only 2.6% cards left at this point, everything else is gone. So I'm thinking they have lost me as a brand-new customer.

**FWIW, my "churn" history is non-existant. I'm not sure I've EVER bought anything from Target.com, but I have had a redcard with them for years. My paypal account is pristine, and so is the credit card I used for the second attempt.

I'm thinking that their software double-sold the cards I wanted and then cancelled all but one sale... that's my guess anyway. They'd have no other reason to not sell me their product.

QUESTION-
Is the reason people buy their Disney cards at target.com using pre-discounted target giftcards because they get the 5% redcard discount somehow? Otherwise I'm not understanding why all this work is any better than just taking the 5% in-store? (I'm trying to decide if I'm going to try one more time or not... for the lesser discount of 6.5%...)

That's exactly how it works...if you get the 6.5% from the GC reseller, then you use the GC online for the additional 5% = 11.5% savings

Yes when your default payment method in your target.com is your red card the 5% comes off your order even if you pay with gift cards. Also many of us get a better discount than those currently offered by the gift card resellers to buy our cards. Several credit card companies offer higher percentages back at certain types of stores like grocery stores. Combine that with fuel rewards programs like Kroger and giant eagle and we are able to save close to 20% (some more with bigger gas tanks) by buying the target gift cards and then using them online to buy Disney cards. Previously you could get an additional 2% back from the target.com purchase with ebates (when buying qualifying items in the same transaction) but they appear to have corrected that computer glitch.

There seems to be an increasing amount of "odd/suspicious" listings lately. This morning I noticed a listing for a 325$ Target gift card for 315$ (note the "$" placement) with the statement "make an offer". When I viewed the listing, one of the photos showed the back of the gift card with the number and access number completely exposed. I ran the number through the system and sure enough it had a $325 value. If I was inclined, I could have easily used the card in a couple undetectable ways. The listing was gone in about an hour, but the card balance remained until I just checked prior to posting this. I wonder if the buyer used the card or a thief?

I wouldn't expect them to check either! Bummer about Target. I bought nearly $3K from Target last December with half of them online.

Is there anyone in the Pittsburgh area that has success with Kmart churns? I'm in MN and have no Kmarts near me, but will be in Pittsburgh this coming week on vacation. I only have $200 in Sears cards, but I'm wondering if it's worth bringing them to try since there are more Kmarts around there than there are in Minnesota.

I had luck with a Kmart near the PGH airport like a week or two ago.
