Question: If I need to cut out GCM on Ebay, any other possibilities out there for churning? Besides Target to Disney? Pretty sure hubby will flip out if I continue to use them with a 50% ratio of COD's.

I'm looking to use my Disney card to get some dream dollars if i can't i'll just snag a target gift card for the value.

I don't believe that is possible-the "glitch" only exists when using a target gift card instead of the red card

You can't use a different credit card. It has to be the red card or gift cards.

at the register it only takes the 5% off the balance put on the card, i've not encountered any cashier willing to take it off manually I'm not sure they even can unfortunately.

It does not work. At least as recent as this past December it did not take 5% off when paying with a Target gift card.

I have been doing Mypoints for a while and have the routine down pat. So I doubt it is user error twice.

I just checked and the last order I placed was on 3/15 and MyPoints did credit. Sounds like maybe that was the last day though. Not sure what I am going to do. I guess I can go back to eBates and just pick up the crediting item in store. Although I'm going to have to search back to see what not to buy. Thanks for the heads up on this, sorry you got caught on the short end of the deal.

could always use best buy, only problem is you have to do it instore and they do not carry many ebay gift cards

also gamestop works really well, but check if your local gamestop allows gift card to gift card purcheses first.

Anyone have any luck getting swagbucks to credit buying gift cards from target? I have SO many problems with Ebates i'd rather avoid it, but if it's going to start making me money again I can manage

Buy Target egcs on Target..com. $500 gc is only through snail mail though.

When we applied for the red card it took over a month to arrive and they never gave me the temporary number. I had to go to customer service desk to check out and they applied the 5% card discount and I used my disney visa to pay. I did have to show that I was approved for a red card and explain that there was an issue with their system not giving me the temporary number to use. was great since I got 2000 worth of disney gift cards using the buy 2 gc get a $5 target gc. If you sign up for a red card and they don't give you a temporary number you can get the red card discount without using the red card. but their online approval might be fixed now. good luck

Is your red card a debit or credit card? I've had trouble in the store with my debit purchasing a large dollar amount but I'd think the credit card probably has looser guidelines. They told me they can't verify funds when you use debit so they limit the dollar amount. However, no one could tell me what that magical $ was when I called to see what the problem was.

I have both, although I was planning on using my debit so that I can buy a larger amount at one time. I thought debits are supposed to be approved for a certain limit based on your bank balance?

Last time I bought it in store there wasn't any limit as long as you had enough credit on your red card, but that was a few years ago. The main problem was the store didn't have that much inventory I had to make 3 different trips to get $1000.

Yeah, I just got back from one of my local Targets and they only had a low supply of $50, so I may have to break up the purchases anyway. Luckily I have at least 5 Targets within 20 minutes of me, so hopefully I can scrape together $3250 between them all. I can do some online, but I already have $3k in Target GCs to convert to Disney through Target's website, and I need to have all of my Disney GCs in hand by mid-May. IDK if I want to order of $6k in Disney GCs in 7 weeks, especially after I've already did $4.5k in Ebay the past 3 weeks. I figure if I order the max $500 each time and wait for each order to arrive before ordering more, then I can do $3,500 by mid-May (assuming each order takes a week to arrive). The rest might need to be done in-store. Has anyone tried ordering with two separate accounts? I have two cards so maybe that will work?

I had an order on 3/16 that credited (my last order) and @davper had one on the same day that did not. I'm still about 2k points shy of a second $25 GC. Do they credit for Ebay purchases of Target GCs?

Thanks y'all! A cashier at Target actually told me once to try splitting the amount on my redcard in order to get the full discount but it only discounted the amount put on the redcard (didn't have gift cards I think I had cash?) anyhow I wonder if they were thinking of the online method. This was well over a year ago before I ever heard of the online "trick".

I applied for my debit RedCard a few days ago and received my approval confirmation and temporary # today in two separate emails. However, I wonder if I just printed out my confirmation email and said I hadn't received my card yet if they will let me get the discount and pay with CC?

I needed a multi outlet plug for my perk farm, so I put that in with some eBay gift cards and set it for in store pick up when checking out at Target. I got my eBates credit almost instantly. So outlet plugs work.

I may be an odd one, but I will say I didn't start in this process until I'd read almost every page of this thread. Yes it took time but I learned of the ups & downs and to make an investment I was comfortable with. I do much smaller amounts than most but I'm ok with that. There really is no perfect answer for a scenario as its all personal preference. Many on here will share their experience or give food for thought & it's greatly appreciated but we each need to dig in & do our own due diligence. There's no quick answer that's right for everyone.

I don't know where'd you'd get the big return you can get with the ebucks. To get up to a possible $500 in a quarter, is amazing and not sure if or where there is anywhere you can realize that same potential. Can try to contact GCM to see what's happening with that? Or check with the Post office since you already paid for the shipping?
