Disney Gift Card Deals

They overrode it for me with just typing in the coupon amount. Had to do three manual coupons, $100, $100, $80

I bought a small stack of Disney gift cards at Target with 5% plus pharmacy 5% (which works out to be a little more than 9% off) a couple of weeks ago. The Disney gift cards stuck to paper holders rang up as "Entertainment" and the all plastic cards (that you snap in half to remove the gift card) rang us as "Disney." But the discount applies to them all, regardless.

Evidently the 20% applies to phone cards. I wonder if it applies to any other kind of card. Obviously not the Mickey ones, whether they're entertainment or Disney!

How do you know they work with phone cards? Did you buy them? Which type of phone cards? I would be interested in stocking up on T-Mobile cards.

Yep, didn't work for me either. BUMMER! I still got my 5% off with my red card. Still saved over $40 on diapers, wipes, and formula for my LO though. I'll take what I can get!

Didn't work for me on Disney (which rings up as "Disney") or ANY OTHER gift card (Subway, Chick-Fil-A, and Subway!)

I just post this in the other thread, too.....

The 20% off coupon worked for me! I went this afternoon, told the cashier up front that I had 10 Disney GC to buy and was hoping to use the coupon. She said no problem, and took the percentage off manually! <3 my Target!! So....moral of the story, don't give up without trying...... Tell them others have been able to do it, maybe that will persuade them.

Just curious, were the GCs the ones on the cardboard or the plastic fold in half ones?

Yesterday it worked for some and not for others.

Managers who contacted Target to find out if it would work generally would not budge because corporate ordered them not to.

Managers who didn't check with corporate and were lenient would budge and had the choice to manually over ride. The manager who manually gave us the discount sadly now has gotten into trouble.

My guess is there is 0 chance anyone will get the 20% off moving forward managers are being reprimanded.

How did you find out they got in trouble? What happened to them?

Went to 3 different Targets and all 3 denied when asked if they could input it manually even when sharing that it had been done at other stores. Just stacked my pharmacy rewards with my RC discount and used some Target GCs that I have been accumulating. Still saved a bundle! Hoping for the spend $50 get $10 deal next year! :) Still gonna get some fun stuff with my 20% off. Momma needs a new pair of boots! LOL!

I'm really hoping they have the spend $50 and get a $10 Target Gift card. I was able to get some real deals last December! :cool1:

So now the 20% seems dead at target besides the 5% red card or the 4% at BJs type places. Does anyone else know if there is any chance to pick up some deals on cards. I am going in May about 4 months before I buy 25 to 50 dollars a week in gift cards to try and prepay most of my food when I am there.

I only know of 2 others and they require having a certain credit card:

1) Discover- I believe the special they are running right now is 5% cash back through the ShopDiscover website + an additional 5% back for online shopping. Definitely double check this though by calling customer service if you have a Discover card.

2) Upromise- This is a website for earning cashback for college but anyone can register and earn cashback. You get an automatic 5% back for shopping through Disney and an additional 5% for using the Upromise mastercard.

Hope that helps! :)

ABC Gift Cards has two different sites one has Disney Gift Cards that I have always got the gift cards that can be used anywhere it gives a 6% discount you have to keep checking as they go really fast. The other site the Disney Store site you may or may not get cards that can be used only in the store, when I got store only I sent them back and got a full refund with no trouble. The other time I used the site I got cards that can be used anywhere. The time I got the store cards I bought at odd amounts like $156.78, and $145.65, the time I got the cards that are good everywhere I bought in even amounts like $100.00 and $150.00. The store site does give a 8% discount, but I just go for the 6% to avoid any hastle:rotfl:

BJs sells GCs at a slight discount. When I was at my local BJs a couple weeks ago they had $50, $100, and 3-$50 packs of Disney GCs, all for approximately 4% off.

I just bought some from BJ's and there was a coupon on the bottom of my receipt for $15 off $150. I went back and bought more and was able to use the $15 off:goodvibes

I don't know if that is something company wide or just at our local store but maybe you could ask before you buy.
