Disney Gift Card Deals

I just bought $950 in Walmart gift cards then went to Sam's and bought $1050 worth of Disney gift cards using the Walmart gift cards as payment. I had an additional $50 Walmart e-gift card I earned via Ibotta. The transaction took a few minutes to complete, but worked just fine. That was on Tuesday. When I got home I transferred the balances of the Disney cards until I had one $1000 card and then used it to purchase my park tickets directly from Disney.
***I buy the Walmart gift cards using my Disney Visa so I can earn my Disney dollars. The Disney Visa isn't accepted at Sam's.

Many liked to do this if they were using a discount gift cards purchased from one of the online resellers so that the original owner of the gift card no longer had access to use the card....it "cleaned" the card so to speak and gave the buyer a new card where only they had access to the new gift card number.

Aaah - that makes sense. I wondered if it was for a nefarious reason. Thanks for the clarification :)

I buy mine through the Sam's club website, because (for some reason) my Disney Visa is accepted online :)

Wow. I have been out of state for a family wedding for the past almost two weeks so I just took a break from keeping up on this thread. There was like 20 pages to catch up on! While it seems to be a semi-isolated incident my heart did drop a bit when I heard of Target bannings.

Do cleaning supplies count for target purchases on ebates? I normally go into the store to pick up clean shower but they have it on their website for the same price. Since they'll ship free with red card, I'll save my gas!

I mean in conjunction with a gift card purchase - either Disney or eBay.

Unfortunately, not. Household commodities do not qualify. Add a ruler and it should hopefully work.

That would be so much easier! I still have to buy $1500 more. I'm going to try this for sure. Thanks!

This is what I did with some stored Target cards I had. Ordered a brand new eTarget card from Target with them.

No they don't. Target specifically does not include the gift card deal items. If you try to get them on swagbucks you don't get the cash back on anything you buy in that order. I just do school supplies, now my kids supplies will be spread throughout the year and not all in august.

This is what I am doing as well. I homeschool but my kids also do a part-time program through our school district. We need school supplies for both so buying them throughout the year will actually be really helpful!

I don't need anymore rulers (and am worried ordering too many rulers might get me flagged) so I am ordering index cards, glue, glue sticks, markers, colored pencils, pens, pencils, composition and spiral notebooks, notebook paper and folders. And now, I am also ordering party supplies for a family b-day we have coming up.

I don't care if I can't lump gift cards with cleaning supplies...I'll still most likely order them in a different order then. It's just easier than making a trip 20 minutes away to get them. Just to exhaust the options, though, does anyone know if MyPoints will allow them for points?

So how much will you get on your Disney visa when buying $950 worth of cards? I have a DV but rarely use it as it seems you don't get that much return, whereas with my SW visa, I feel like I earn more points and use those towards free flights. Do you think you get a better discount this way or about the same?

You would get $9.50.

Southwest would yield somewhere between $11.88 and $18.05 on that transaction, depending on your flight. Southwest has an annual fee, though--I'm not up on which Disney cards do.

And, of course, not every family flies. :)

I have the 1% earnings Disney Visa with no annual fee. PP is correct, $9.50. I'm sure other credit cards have better earning potential. I only have the card for the 6 month interest free financing on vacation packages for when I book my trips that way. Some of the in park benefits are good too. Southwest doesn't fly out of the airport in my city, so I don't have their card.

Our credit union offers a visa with which I can get 5% on Sam's Club internet only (not in store) orders. I've found that it credits the full 5% on my total Disney gift card order even if I apply a Sam's e gift card to the order (from Swagbucks). That amounts to over 5% off.

Gamestop is included in Raise.com weekend sale starting today. Use code TAKE5 and get an extra 5% off.

This would be good for people wanting to buy Ebay gift cards!

How long does it take Gift Card Mall to ship Target GC from EBay? I ordered them three days ago and they still are not marked shipped and no tracking number. They have not answered my email either. Says estimated delivery day Is Feb 33rd but it has not even been mailed out yet.
