Disney Gift Card Deals

It only let me get one $100 card and said sell blocked after limit is reached. Still $5 saved is still $5 more than I had this morning.
Thanks for the heads up.

I'm passing on this offer, though, due to the $5,000/6 month limit on gift card purchases. If I wait, I'll make significantly more on the next 3x or 4x ebay bucks offer, even if that's not for another month or two.

If you can only buy one of these discounted ebay cards per offer, how do you get to $5000 in 6 months???

OMG. I just discovered this thread has a doppelganger on another Disney board. Very amusing and keeping me entertained during my DVC wanting kick I am on.:teeth:

Except for I saw on that one there are rumors of the 5% off Target online closing for GC buying. I'm not ready! Hopefully it remains rumor. Although, I feel like the wings will be clipped on this sooner rather than later. If we keep going from Target->Ebay->Target->Ebay, etc.....somebody is the owner of all of this found vacation money we benefit from. It just seems like soon some pencil pusher at a desk is going to go "HEY! Wait a minute....!"

That's been a rumor on this thread as well. Wouldn't surprise me but who knows. I do think the eBay churning may be the straw that breaks the camels back--pure speculation of course.

You don't hit the limit on this offer. But that $100 you spend on this deal is $100 you don't get to churn due to the limit. And I'll make 7% more on that $100 (~12-14% vs 5%) on that same $100.

I agree with your assessment re: prioritizing what eBay gift cards are spent on due to the $5000 limit. That being said, I am totally blanking out. How would it be 12-14%? Isn't the highest eBay Bucks bonus 5X, therefore 10%?

I think the ebate target glitch might be over. I placed 2 orders for giftcards and added a ruler and eraser. It usually credits quickly but so far nothing. Anyone having success with Swagbucks crediting?

Plus 2% Swagbucks rebate plus 5% Red Card discount going from Target back to eBay minus 1% shipping.

For the life of me, I cannot find the ebay GCs for $95. Can someone post a link to the page for me? Thanks!

Anyone else notice that Shopkick is giving 1 Kick per $2 spent at Target using your registered Visa card? Wal-Mart and a few other retailers as well. I almost always use my SWA RR Chase Visa, so I'm happy to double dib on any in store shopping that I already do. I'll take any extra kicks I can get! More free Disney. :-)

Not sure. I'll give it a try the next time Target has them in stock. I need about $600 more before my vacation in March.

I bought some through swagbucks in November. The purchase shows up, but the SB amount just says 0.

I did the Ebates on the 5th and it worked but it took 24 hours. Swagbucks does not work with target. The purchase shows up but doesn't give any swagbucks.

Ok so maybe there is hope but mine have always credited within a few hours with ebates

I am hoping the little bird involved is a Target bus driver.

To where the money is coming from, the Ebates and eBay bucks on the eBay side are coming from the fees that Blackhawk pays. That comes out of the profit they get on each gift card. On the Target side, the 5% is coming out of the profit that Target gets on the PayPal or Disney card. If you were paying with a credit card that percentage would be going to the bank.

The whole gift card system is inherently insane, and the companies involved are making massive amounts of money. What we are doing is participating in that system ourselves. However, I think this is a bubble (much like the internet bubble and the housing bubble) and eventually the bubble is going to pop. The trick is to limit your exposure. My personal rule is that none of the money is safe until I get it deposited into the Disney Vacation Savings Account. Once it is there, it is federally insured. Before then, it is like stuffing cash under your mattress.

This made me smile.

So can you make a new eBay acct to get around this, with just a different email, or doesn't this work!?

I thought I read in this thread monts ago that this has been a rumor for a couple years?

And wouldn't this cost Target quite a number of sales that they wouldn't get anymore? I would think plenty of people wouldn't be buying thru target costing many sales. And besides the cards, people buy other tiems at the same time as well, that might be lost sales if people aren't buying the gc's online there anymore without the discount.
