Does anyone know if I purchase Disney gift cards and use some of the $5 target gift cards for my purchase and then use my red card to pay the rest of my Disney gift card purchase will I get the 5% off the entire order or just the amount paid with my target red card. I will be making this purchase in the store. Thanks
In store: only the amount paid with red card is discounted.

You will only get the 5% discount on the part of your purchase paid with your redcard. You will not get it on the part paid with target gift cards.

Target number one was a bust. I even checked the inventory tracker before I walked in. Now onto target number two.

If they arent there, i'm a talk to customer service to see if there's any in the back.

Same here, my local target increased 20 more last night per inventory checker, so I went in around 8:20 this morning and got nothing. Customer service checked for me there is none on the floor or in the back and all of them should be on the big display close to register though it was empty there. I keep refreshing inventory checker and no change so far, still wondering where are these 20 cards now.

Okay Target #2 was a bust as well. I asked customer service and they told me there was none in the back. But they did nothing beyond that. Even though I said "well the inventory tracker says this so can you please check?"

So I need your guys' opinion... Do I go with the $50s? It's a deal but if I can get Target cards on Raise or Cardpool I could probably save just as much if not more.

Do I get firm/nasty with customer service until they tell me WHERE I can get the cards and make sure they are held for me?

By the way Disney was the ONLY cards wiped out. Which of you witches in the Evansville indiana area have my cards? Haha

Did you ask if they will do the $5 gift card on one $50 Disney gift card? Some people had luck with that.

I didn't. Considering she didn't even look in her computer at all I doubt she would have been up for it.

Sigh. I wish I was pretty or intimidating that way I could charm or demand my way through life. As I'm not either, I have one of those faces/ dispositions that lead to getting the "nope. Sorry. Bye." response more often than not.

It does not hurt to ask. My Targets have been wiped out of the $25's since noon on Sunday. I've checked multiple times this week and never can find any $25's despite what the inventory tracker says. Talked to several managers...none in the back...so I have just nicely asked if since the $5 off one $50 is the same as the $5 off two $25's, would they honor the sale that way. I'm not the least bit intimidating and I just point out that it is the same discount. I also only walk up with one or two rather than some huge stack. I've asked four different times and not once been told 'no' so I do think it is worth at least asking.

Is it any 2 giftcards or only certain ones for the Target promotion? I'm looking to buy 15 dollar ones for ChikFila and Starbucks plus Disney.

Only certain cards qualify for the promotion. I remember seeing signs on Disney, AMC, Starbucks and itunes. There may be others, I'm not sure.

Someone on another site mentioned hiding a stack of extra cards in case they decided to go back again later in the week. That kind of thing could explain some of the discrepancy between what the inventory checker says and what you're actually finding in store.

How did you check the inventory? I checked my Target app on iPad, but couldn't see anything?
I couldn't do it. The first 2 stores wouldn't, said all their gift cards are out on the shelves. At the 3rd store I got an enthusiastic employee who checked their inventory as well as the inventory of the other 2 area stores (apparently they can do that) from a hand held device he had with him. However even though his store was reading 100+ in inventory nobody could find them which leads me to believe the inventory does not update "live".

Edit: I see others here have though? I haven't read the thread for a few pages...

In store you will only get the Red Card discount on the amount charged to the Red Card.

Does anyone know how long a payment to your Red Card takes to process? Found out I need a few more gift cards but noticed I'm bumping up on my credit limit so I made a payment online this morning to process today. I've never watched it this closely before, is there a chance it will process by this weekend?

My online bill pay transactions usually take about 2 business days to clear. The payment doesn't "go out" until at least the next business day. Then that money is in limbo for 24 hours while one or both entities (my bank and the credit card) make tiny amounts of interest on it. Then it gets posted (quite late) to my Red Card account. So if I tried to send it yesterday, it wouldn't show up until Monday night.

My online bank is Capitol One. YMMV.

If you have cash on hand, you could try making a payment to your card at Guest Services.

Hit two of the four Targets last night and found one $25 GC hiding behind a stack of $50 in spite of an inventory level of 104. Had to pair it with a $25 Starbucks GC in order to get the $5 Target GC. This morning I checked the inventory level of that store and it was down to 103, so it looks like my purchase made a difference. Spent my lunch hour checking out a 3rd Target, but came up unsuccessful. Employees are stressed and busy and the one I asked said she doesn't recall ever seeing a $25 Disney GC. Since all four Targets are showing an inventory level of just over 100, I wonder if there is a box of gift cards sitting in the back unopened because no one realizes they are $25 GC. There seems to be plenty of the $50 and $100 but not even an empty space for $25. I'll try to visit the 4th Target tomorrow morning. We're getting a lot of rain this week and traffic is horrible due to flooding in some areas.

I went back to the Target where I bought 24 on Wednesday to see if I could pick up some more. I tried calling first, but the CS clerk refused to put the inventory number in her system, instead having someone check the displays by the cash registers (which we all know have only $50s and $100s).

I checked all the usual locations (note: the electronics had 2 slots for $25.00 cards but both were empty). So I grabbed 8 x $15.00 Starbucks gift cards (for holiday gifts) and headed to the cash. I lucked out with the cashier as she was a "trainer" and extremely friendly. She checked the inventory code for the $25.00 Disney cards for me and told me they had over 100 in stock. She even knew the exact locations. However the manager was standing by her cash waiting for her to leave for break (making sure no one else lined up at her cash) and said "sorry, we don't have $25.00 cards left; we have been out since Monday". Ugh. However she wasn't deterred and checked a stand between the cash desks close to the entrance and found a stack :daisy:! She held them up for the manager to see and he just shrugged his shoulders. I am so glad that she didn't listen to him! Turns out there were only 10 in the pile (the ones at the back of the stack were AMC cards), but I happily took all of them! She also combined all my $5.00 cards into one for me! She was the BEST Target CSR I have ever encountered.

My fun activity on this rainy-sick-at-home day was calling around all the Target stores I haven't yet checked with to see if they had $25 Disney gift cards. I was ready to give up (several told me of others coming in and buying all of them), but I FINALLY found a location that said they had a bunch! :cool1: I told them I'd be right over and hopped in my car to drive the 17 miles there. And, sure enough, they were right:

:thumbsup2

Thanks for posting that picture. The Target stores in our area have a sign like that except that it says you have to buy two $50 Disney Gift cards in order to get the $5 Target gift card. They don't even carry $25 Disney gift cards. :(

I've found the trainers at target to be the most helpful and nicest and will take the time with you.

I'm trying my luck after work but only want 2 due to budget. Wish I had known a couple weeks ago and I would have saved my target gcs until now. A little savings is better than none though. ☺

I think I really need to be done now. After the $5 deal the past 2 weeks and a few other regular purchases we make that give GCs back, we should have our September trip's room/tickets package paid off by next month. I could probably clean out another Target tomorrow and for food, but I am holding onto hope that Raise and Carpool will have some better percentages coming up after the holidays. 5-6% would be amazing at this point, thought certainly not like the 8-9% old days of Spring 2015!
