Disney Gift Card Deals

Please forgive me...I ignored the ebay stuff in the beginning b/c I do not get the promo for 5x ebucks. Even though my settings are clicked to receive promos. I even went in late last week and unclicked, saved, reclicked and saved again hoping that might trigger some kind of promo emails for buying. I am still only getting ones for selling.

So, I think I understand how some are saving with the ebay to Target to ebay to Target gift cards. But is this really only worth it if you are getting the 5x ebucks? It doesn't really make sense to me unless you are getting that, or if giftcardmall has Target ones on sale. What am I missing?

I think I'm going to take the plunge and get the Blue Everyday--Amex sent me an offer with a $200 sign on bonus. I really don't want to deal with another account, but I still need another $1,500 of Target gift cards this year.

And I'm hoping for a weekend 4x fuel points before Thanksgiving but if not it's nice to know that's pretty much a sure thing.

I want this card too. We eat 95% of our meals at home, so I'd like to get a bigger cashback at grocery stores. Is there a link for the sign-up bonus or did they just send it to you?

I don't get the 5x bucks offer either but so far it's worth it to me. Right now Target basically has ebay gift cards for 10% off if you are "paying" with your red card. So a $100 gift card costs $90.25. I guess gift card mall doesn't currently have $100 Target gift cards in stock, but if they did, 4 would cost $406 with shipping. Your ebay cards to buy those would cost $361 ($90.25x4). So you spend $367 ($361 plus $6 shipping) to get $400 in gift cards plus you get $8 in eBay bucks.

They mailed it to me and emailed it to me. If you look on their website it look like they are offering $100.

Thank you. That makes sense. And that doesn't factor in paying for the ebay cards with discounted Target gift cards. Then you turn around and do this again with the Target cards you got from eBay, or just buy Disney from Target at that point?

Correct. I use Target cards purchased from Kroger when they run 4x fuel points to start this. And it depends on your time horizon as to when to buy the Disney gift cards. But some people are definitely doing this more than once. It requires patience and luck for Target to have eBay cards in stock and Gift Card Mall to have $100 Target gift cards (sometimes they have discounted ones with free shipping--that makes this a really good deal).

I just got my red card and am trying to make a disney card purchase but am about to go batty. I can't figure out how to place the order getting the red card discount but use gift cards. Can someone please give me step by step on how to accomplish this?

The way I do it is to have my red card saved as default payment. Sign in and add item to cart. Select an address. Click on credit/debit card then hit save & continue. On the "Review Your Order" screen hit edit next to payment and click on Target gift card.

You need to make your Red Card your primary source of payment. Once you get into the shopping cart and you're ready to pay there is a small link that says something like "pay with gift cards" or something like that.

Do you already have Discover? That Apple Pay promo is sweet! Even without it, the Discover It Miles rebate ends up being 3% across the board for the first year.

I just had the same issue with my cards from giftcardmall. I called 877-426-2551 and they told me that the system doesn't show my order as fulfilled yet, so the cards haven't been activated. He put in a request to activate, gave me a reference number and told me to wait until possibly Friday.

:(

UPDATE: I got an email notification that the Target gift card I received yesterday "shipped." I checked the tracking number and it matched with the envelope that came yesterday. I inputed the gift card into my Target account again, and it worked!

I finally got my gift card to work with the red card. Goodness that was rough --- think I spent about 45 minutes today trying to figure that all out. I kept checking the gift card option and it kept bouncing me back to the debit card. I didn't click on the gift card itself. Finally got through that one. In case anyone has the same problem in the future.....click on not only the gift card option but then the gift card itself.

Thanks I got that email too so I'm hoping the same happened with my cards. I'll check whether my cards are activated when I get home tonight. Yay!

ETA: Yay! They worked!

The UPS man came today with another $100 Disney gift card from Target:cheer2:. This one was paid for using my FREE Target gift cards ($45 from SwagBucks, $10 from Perk, $5 from mPoints and a $10 FWP card from Target) and a $20 Target gift card that I bought from CardPool for $18.66.

So I got this $100 gift card for a total of $18.66:cool1:.

Quick question...American Express Blue Card, when do you pay the annual fee? Up front or after 12 months?

No. My only travel expense is an every other year Disney Cruise which I pay for with gift card, though so I prefer cash back to travel rewards. Otherwise it seems like a fantastic deal.

I'm 99% sure it's up front. Isn't there a $150 sign up bonus? I got that years ago and it covered the first two years annual fees. Now I find I more than make up for it with the offers in addition to the 6% back.

Is this the same card you are looking at? It's that 6% on groceries I want. Looks like a $250 sign up bonus right now.

No--I have that one and it's fantastic. $250 is great (more than covers the annual fee for 3 years). I'm looking at the Everyday Blue which doesn't have an annual fee but gives 3% back at grocery stores to use after I've maxed out the $6,000 grocery spending on the preferred card. Plus more offers!

Ok....let me talk this out so I can make sense of it........If I use my Discover Apple Pay at WinnDixie to buy a Target gift card, I'll get the 10% cash back from Discover, Fuel perks points from WinnDixie and then use the Target GC along with my Target debit card to get the 5% off buying a Disney GC?
