Disney Gift Card Deals

I am overwhelmed from reading posts on the last few pages. You are all serious couponers! I am a wannabe but don't have the time to dedicate to learning the ropes right now. I have just a few general questions that although won't save me the maximum $, it will hopefully save me some.

I would like to purchase the Disney Gift Cards from Sam's Club. I think it's around a $7.00 savings per $150.00 (not the greatest, but it's something). However, I am confused on what payment method makes the most sense. I have a Discover It Card which I believe is 1% cash back and I have a Disney Visa Rewards Card (though I am still not familiar with this card as I applied only because I wanted the $200 Gift Card, which I did receive).

I also have a Target Visa Red Card but I am not sure how that card works and whether they have cash back rewards or other perks for using that card.

What method of payment would you use, in my situation, when purchasing your Disney Gift Cards? Is there one option that gives more bang for the buck?

Thanks so much for your help! :)

I personally would use the Discover Card. The amount of rebate is the same for both Discover and Disney (1%) and with the Discover rebate, there is more flexibility in how you redeem your rewards. With the Disney Card, the rewards are only usable at Disney.

Cardpool takes FOREVER. I have missed so many deals because of them that I probably won't go back.

Do you mean for electronic cards or physical? With electronic, I've had it take anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 business days. I'd say I usually get them the same day I order.

For mail, it takes about 5 business days. I'm in California, but I'm not sure where they ship from.

In any event, I've never felt like it's taken "forever". But that's just my experience.

The Target card will get you 5% off all purchases at Target, including Disney gift cards. So if you bought $150 of Disney gift cards at Target with your Red card you'll get $7.50 off.

I thought Sam's Club only took MasterCard, so I don't know if you can even pay with Discover or your Disney Visa there.

I ordered electronic last Sunday... Still waiting for them.

I received an email from Raise this morning that they are offering an additional 5% off select cards. Landry's Restaurants gift cards (Rainforest Café, etc) is on the list and they are going FAST!

You can only use the code once, so make it worthwhile. I had two GCs in my basket, but took too long checking out and one disappeared, so I only got to use the discount for one card :(

Welcome to the fray! It also depends how much time and effort you want to put up. But in my opinion, I would use the Disney Visa card up to $500.00 for the $200.00 credit promo and probably follow My3Princez's recommendation.

I personally use my Southwest Chase card because my girlfriend and I are very close in collecting a package reward on that card.

I use it to buy Raise.com Target Discounted Gift cards. That way I get points for my CC while getting discounted (5+ % off) Target GC. Others would utilize rebate sites such as swagbucks, etc for the affiliation shopping. Then in turn use the Target Redcard/Gift Card loop to purchase Disney Giftcards for the additional 5% off on Target.com.

Our trip is in Fall 2016, so we have a lot of time. So I only purchase GC at a higher rate and combine them to my personal GC before I start exchanging them for Disney GC.

This way you get points for you CC (in your case, the first $500.00 to your Visa for that $200.00 credit statement, then the rest on your Discover), 5% or higher discount on the target gift at Raise.com, and the additional 5% with the Redcard-Giftcard method for Disney Giftcards.

The Sam's bundle you mention only nets you $7.00 off $150 which is roughly 4.6%. Which isn't that much compare to the longer method?

I have Target Gift Cards waiting to be used to purchase Disney GCs... But I'm confused as to how I get the 5% discount. Using GCs isn't the same as using your RED card... HELP?

You just select your Red Card as your payment method right up till the final Submit Order page. At this point, the 5% discount should show in your cart. Look for the little link to pay with a Gift Card. Apply enough GCs to cover the order, and you're done! You got the 5% off because the system has to show you the total they're going to charge before you hit that final OK, but at that point it still allows you to pay with gift cards.

Has anyone placed more then 1 order on Target per day? I just placed an order for $500 worth of Disney cards and just received the Success! We received your Target.com order email. Can I place another order for an additional $500 today? I purchased a $2000 card from Raise this morning, and I want to go ahead and get it spent right away so that the person can not use the card number. I would have tried to switch the money over to my own target gift card, but I read somewhere that there is a $1000 limit per card, and since my $2000 is all on 1 raise card, I want to get it spent right away if possible.

Thanks for your reply. I just don't want to place the order and then have them both cancelled and have to deal with them putting the money back on my gift card. =)

Yes, you can place multiple orders with no problems. Good luck!

I ordered electronic last Sunday... Still waiting for them.

Anyone whose electronic gift card order takes longer than the 1 business day stated should email Cardpool with their order number and ask for assistance. My husband's order placed on a Thursday night was still nowhere to be seen by Friday evening. We emailed them Saturday, knowing they wouldn't be responding to emails over the weekend. We did receive our order Tuesday morning, 24 hours after we got a form response email saying they would get back to us.

I think sometimes when they get inundated with orders, things can get backed up and they have to go through and sort it all out. But you definitely want to email them to alert them of your issues.

Even though Cardpool is back to being fully stocked with Target GCs, they lowered the discount to 5.5%. Wonder how long it will take them to raise it back up. I want at least 7%!!

You should view Cardpool and Raise like a service. Not as retailer/seller. It's like ebay, it depends how much of a discount the seller wants to put up and how fast they want to sell the GC.

Raise right now has a lot of 7% off for really high dollar amounts.

Unfortunately, I did. The only response I got was that it was sent out for processing and that they don't know when I'll receive them.

Raise is like that, but Cardpool is not. They buy the gift cards from people then turn around and sell them, so they set the discount themselves.

Make sure you keep an eye out for McCormick and Schmick gift cards as well. They can be used at any of the Landry's restaurants and tend to be discounted more than the others.

Like right now cardcash has an extra 5% off code(RESTAURANT) and McCormick and Schmick is included. They only had few GC's left but they were anywhere from $40 to $41.50 for a $50 GC before the coupon code.
