Disney Gift Card Deals

My $1800 balance is due Aug. 24. I'm worried about the timing of buying discount Target cards, waiting for the Disney cards to be restocked, then ordering/planning to get them in time. Sorry if it's already been explained, but can I still get the 5% off Disney cards if I buy in-store with my RedCard? Or should I buy the electronic Target cards on Cardpool, hoping to get them within 24-48 hours, then plan to combine and go in-store to purchase for the extra 2% off? Again, more worried about the timing than anything else. Just don't want to be stuck with $1800 in Target gift cards and still owing on my vacation.

In my experience it takes a minimum of a week to receive my gift cards in the mail from Target. Since they are currently out of stock it would be pushing it too close for comfort for me personally.

You will still get 5% off the gift cards if you purchase them in store as long as you are paying for them with your RedCard.

My cancelled order was placed with a Target gift card that I had subsequently combined online. I called in yesterday, and it took a bit of time, but the person I spoke to could see that the original gift card could not be refunded, so she sent me a new e-gift card with the total refund amount. I will say, it took a bit of time with me on hold with her going and "checking her resources" as she kept saying. If you did combine the cards, tell them that. They should be able to determine that the card you used was force closed (that's the verbiage on the mobile combining site) and they should be able to process your refund(s) on a new card(s). Good luck, let us know how it turns out.

Thank you!!! This is exactly what I did and it was indeed another 45 minutes on the phone and I had to wait at least another 30-45 for the emails from Target but yes, I have been refunded now - PHEW! I was emailed separate e-gift cards (new ones) from Target for each order and I'm just glad that is over with. :scared:

Thank you *all* for being supportive and the ones that have "been there" know how frustrating the experience can be but I wasn't giving up since I knew the money was mine and due to me. I also thought it was a little suspicious someone would use the gift cards immediately after a refund was posted, but hey stranger things can happen. I didn't appreciate the possible insinuation it was *me* that had done something, as that's simply not how I roll. Today was one of those days and I'm just glad that hopefully this is done for now and I'm not combining them on my mobile app anymore. I did what I've always done but this just made me too nervous. I was advised once it's in a force closed status they can't even tell you where and when it was used so it's almost like your word against theirs and that's just plain scary and ridiculous too but we all know how wonky the Target.com experience can be! :crazy2:
Thanks again everyone

I would have to say that 1 person ordering 60 is not going to be the deal killer as much as hundreds if not more people ordering the same item in the same day. Don't you think that if each person just ordered 1 each, but your sales on this item increases substantially is going to make the company look to see what is so hot about this item on this day? As many have stated, it was not just on this board, but also on several places, allowing TONS of people to use the order. I was not able to place a single order before it was pulled, but I still do not believe that I am in any position to reprimand or make someone else feel bad for using the deal.

I have loved these boards, but I can not believe the arrogance of some people that they feel they have the RIGHT to reprimand someone else for using a deal. People seriously get a grip! You all knew how much your vacation was going to be when you booked it and that is what you should budget for. If there is an opportunity to get it cheaper, then great, but if not, you should already be prepared to pay the amount you have been told it would be. I am so shocked and dismayed with the behavior I have seen on this thread, with people claiming that they now how to work more overtime because they were not able to receive the deal, and others saying people were greedy and abused the LOOPHOLE. If this is your biggest problem in life, then thank your lucky stars and maybe don't be so hateful to others!!!
As someone else posted, I also did not see anyone being "hateful" and certainly no one implying that this was their "biggest problem in life". There is a lesson to be learned here and that is that over-aggressive use of a really good deal, quickly kills it. (and that's not a "theory"-- the veterans here have seen it happen time and again) Most posters that I read were simply trying to convey that lesson. My take-away was that maybe a handful who acted aggressively this time might not do so the next. It's an educational process in some regards. I have learned a lot on these boards, much by means of the "words of caution" given by others who have been around longer than myself. I've previously done things in the past and then later changed how I did it based on lessons given here on the budget board! I completely understand that there were way more people on other forums who shared this and ended up buying by the dozens, than just THIS forum. I absolutely don't deny people their 50-60 uses of the deal BUT it would have been prudent for ALL who needed or wanted that many to buy them over a more extended period of time. Of course we would have to get EVERYONE to understand that concept and agree upon it and that's quite impossible.

I'm new and want to contribute, and I didn't see this posted when I searched the thread. Right now with an American Express Business card and the right sync offer, you can get $250 in Disney Gift Cards for $175, up to 5 different times. To do so, look for the "Stock Up and Save for Your Business" American Express offer under "Offers for You" in your online account.

After the offer is applied to your AmEx, buy $250 in Disney Gift Cards at Home Depot, up to 5 times in 5 separate transactions, and you'll get a $75 statement credit for each. I've already done this 3 times, and plan to do it 2 more to renew my Premium Annual Passport.

Which business card? Delta Gold??? I was thinking of getting a new Amex. When does this particular Home Depot offer expire? Thanks!

The $100 Disney GC I ordered from Target last Saturday took a week to get to me. My balance is due next Monday. I plan on buying physical Disney GC in the store to pay my balance off.

Question: Does Target limit how many Disney GCs you can buy at a time using your Target Red card (debit)?

Individual stores can limit the number that you purchase, just like any other item that they might sell. However, I was never told that I could not buy all of the GCs that I wanted in-store back when the Pharma5 discount could be used in conjunction with the REDCard discount.

Now, the Target debit card is another story. Your bank may have a daily limit on debit transactions and then Target may also have a daily limit. However, unlike your bank, you will never get a concrete answer from Target as to what that limit might be.

So glad to hear you got your refund! I learned (after doing it, just like you!) to never combine until the order has shipped. My paranoia that someone would drain the cards in the meantime was what made me do it too.

Yea, I learned this the hard way!

Honeybunches, you can only get your 5% red card discount online, not in the store for giftcards. That means you will have gotten 7%off when you bought the Target GC and then an additional 5% off when you buy a Disney card, meaning you still are getting 12% off, and even more if you buy through Paypal as some of the people who posted did.

The other issue I have is that FOUR of my family members bought the cards, not just one. But people are so quick to judge, and not read the message they don't see that.

I am so scared! I placed a large order to Raise (after placing 2 separate $100 order) and I have not heard anything from them. With both smaller orders I received the gift cards within the hour. I thought I had read through the whole website and was confident in the placing the order. But after not hearing (email or phone) from the company I went to call the and couldn't find a number anywhere. Also just found that the purchase guarantee does not cover electronic gift cards (* Return policy does not apply to electronic gift cards or mobile gift cards due to the nature of the program.), and it's only good for $1000 a customer (We make such guarantees for up to 100 days from the date of your purchase, up to a maximum of $1000 per customer.). My order was for electronic gc, and well over $1000. I am freaked out - has anyone had a similar situation with placing a large order from Raise? PLEASE tell me everything is going to be ok!

Call 888-578-8422 for Raise customer support, and I think you will be pleasantly surprised with their helpfulness.
Was your problem with Raise resolved??

How long will it take Target to discontinue the 5% off online of the Disney gift cards?

I had it on my AmEx Platinum business card. Unfortunately my information isn't timely, the offer has been around for over a month, and it expires on Saturday. Probably not enough time for a new card.

Does anyone here buy discounts Walmart gift cards and use them a Sams club to buy the discounts disney gift cards? I know there is like a $0.30 difference between the price of same and target but I was just curious if anyone has tried this method?

I've done that before. It can be painful ordering from Sams online because they don't always show when gift cards are out of stock. You place the order and it seems to mysteriously get cancelled. I definitely wouldn't go this route if you're in a hurry.

Disney gift cards aren't showing up for me period on Target. Does this mean they're out of stock, or not carrying them?

How long does it take to receive PHYSICAL gift cards from Cardpool? Its been a long time since I've ordered that way. Thx!
