I ordered 3 when I first read about the deal. Ordered 2 more at 4:08 and 4:13 PM PST on Friday. The first 4 I received shipping conformations. Haven't received the last one and I'm not holding my breath.

Agreed! The best ways to kill a deal are to make an inordinate amount of orders (as some people on this thread have done) or to call the company asking if it will really work.

The best way to make sure that another great deal doesn't get offered in the future is to call Customer Service to badger them about your canceled order(s).

I ordered 10 cards yesterday morning. Got shipping confirmations yesterday for 4, the others were cancelled. I still haven't received cancellation notices, but when I login to Target.com the rest of the orders show as "cancelled".

All Disney gift cards are showing as in-store only, so I'm assuming they are out of stock.

They are most likely out of stock. However, I tried to apply the PayPal offer to iTunes physical GCs (which are in stock) and the $5 did not come off. I think this deal has been effectively killed for GC purchases. It did work on an order that I placed this morning for some dog treats (in-store pick up).

Ordered mine on Friday night.. 10 of them were cancelled this morning and the other 6 still say "ordering processing." I am wondering if those will most likely be cancelled as well. How long was this coupon code good for? Too good to be true I guess...

I, too, tried other gift cards and it didn't work. I also tried the $10 off a $50 purchase deal for kids ($60 worth )and it didn't take the $5 off -only $10. So I'm assuming it's also not good with other deals.

I just looked on my Target account, and it at first says order created but when I click on it, it says released. The other 4 were shipped. Oh well. When should I expect a refund?

If the orders show as "order created" are they safe or still up for cancellation? The 2 orders I placed on Saturday show canceled (never got any email telling me that though) and the 13 orders from Friday are "order created".

I would say that no order is "safe" until you get an email that your order has shipped and you can confirm, via tracking, that it is on its way.

I placed 6 orders late Friday night. All show up as order created but I expect they will be cancelled.

I honestly felt greedy placing 6 orders nevermind the larger number of orders posted in this thread. A sure way to get the deal killed...

Ok, so when I went through the Target APP my order showed "released". I just went on the Target Mobile site (different format) and my order shows "back ordered ". So, hmmm... not sure what to think. My other 4 orders show shipped so I'm happy with that. The order that says back ordered is showing the same delivery date though. Interesting.

You know, I don't feel guilty about placing 15 orders. I ordered what I need for my October trip. I'm not planning to resell them or anything. Also, it's really not that complicated to have a coupon code be a one time use. I visit many a website that will throw an error if you try to use the code more than once per account. I feel they should honor all orders.

Agreed. I only intended to order 3-4 this month and space the same amount over the coming months until the end of the deal on 12/31. I really am shocked that some are posting that they ordered 50-60 in a day! Now I don't know if I'll even be able to get my modest amount using the deal..... at all..... ever! Sometimes the info shared on these forums in a double-edges sword. Great to lets others know about it.... but not so great when it's abused.

Someone in a deal site that I frequent said they called Target, the code being used on the gift cards was a glitch, it was never meant to allow you to use it on them. So Target pulled the plug and that's why they are canceling as many as they can catch before they ship.

It just amazes me how many glitches get through. Frankly I'm shocked the 5% comes off when you use a gift card to pay. Not complaining, but just surprised. I'm not holding my breath for it too last too much longer. Hopefully I'll get my 2016 cruise paid off first, but I'm not counting on it.

I bet the deal wont die soon. Today is the last day for a Target code as well that was also 5.00 off 50.00. So some people were using that instead of the Paypal link. I would just hope that the gift card resale sites can keep up.

I wish. That many didn't go through, but we did get enough to help. They evidently were able to change a few statuses. So people should check. I am still going to use all my Target cards, and red card to change over to Disney when they get back in stock. The discounted Target cards, plus the red card is an AWESOME deal. Of course its no 20% people got, but I still think its a good deal. We cant stay on property, so this is the only discount we get. Really grateful.

So all of my $50 cards have shipped, but the $100 one I ordered yesterday was cancelled. I don't think the $90.25 was put back on the Target gift card yet. I tried to combine it with my main card I keep for combining, and it's telling me there is nothing to combine. I'm guessing there is some delay for putting the funds back? At least it's just 1 card to keep track of that should be refunded.

Edit: I tried adding the gift card to the Target mobile site just to see if it would show me the history and it gives me this "giftcard in force closed status". I guess I first used the $90.25 then combined the balance online. I'm noticing that other cards that I combined the balance give the same message, but cards that I used fully will add to my account and show a $0 balance with history available. Has anybody encountered this? Target has to refund me for the order they cancelled. Am I going to have to call to get the card un-force closed?
