Disney Gift Card Deals

The gentleman who handles group reservations said we have to pay a deposit fee. We can use gift cards on our account after we pay for the initial reservation deposit on each seat. We can then pay with gift cards the remaining balance. I just called them. What I'm asking about is the sites like rise, etc for buying the Target cards. Is there a limit, or no limit to them?

There's no limit on raise or any of the other gift card sites.

Target sometimes limits the amount of Disney gift cards you can order to $300, but people just place seperate orders to get around that.

I just called AGAIN, cause you all have me in a worry, and this time they got a supervisor. I gave them the links you both supplied, and they said Those were old, they shouldn't be on there as their policy has changed. They said there is no gift card restriction for Group buys.

Wonderful news for YOU!!!!!!

I hope you got the supervisors name. One person can say YES while another can say NO. Ultimately, what is "Enforceable" is what is written down (i.e. on the website). At least if you have the supervisors name and when you called you can use that information if someone gives you any flak.

As an example, my DW always notes who she spoke with, when they spoke and of course details of the conversation (like price quotes, discounts, etc...) as part of her research for vacations (or whatever). When she calls back to finally book, and it's a different person who doesn't give what she was expecting, and the supervisor gets involved, she tells them the details of her call (which could be verified that there was a call and that the supervisor was working during that time if it came down to it). Essentially the response of the supervisor (to the other employee) is that she has specific verifiable details, and the deal gets honored.

So either way, I wish you the best in your endeavor and travels. Hope you save a lot of money.

Yes, and start small! Don't get 50 gift cards and then discover that your plan won't work; start with 5 or 6 to make sure the limit doesn't apply. That' way you're only stuck with $150 in gift cards rather than $x,xxx!

If looking for the best fares, I would be very leery about the "group" sales. When we went as a family of 15, the "group" sales department quoted us a "discounted" fare which was more than the current WGA fare. The discount came off of the Anytime fare so it wasn't a deal at all. Since SWA doesn't have assigned seating anyways, I don't see a reason to pay a premium to book as a group. I would simply snag the WGA fares as they become available, using the discounted gift cards to pay for them.

Yeah, I asked about that, and they have all said they now use the "Wanna Get Away" price off the website if that's what you are offered with and they have the seats available.

I just ordered my last $200's worth of Disney gift cards for our upcoming trip. Everything is budgeted or paid for so I am done. Total savings you ask? Over $475 not including the value of the points I earned on my credit card!!! All thanks to my friends on the DIS. :tiptoe:

I checked my paypal wallet today and under the "SHOP" tab it had a coupon for $5 off $50 at Target. I added a Disney gift card and checked out using my RedCard. The total was $42.50 That is a 15% savings. Anyone done this deal?

I hope my orders (6 of them) don't get cancelled.

I just signed up for TopCashBack. When I went to pull up the Target link an offer came up offering a $15 gift card back for making a purchase. Does anybody know if purchasing a Disney gift card would qualify for the offer?

I haven't done this deal, but I'm going to give it a try myself. Thanks for the heads up! Fingers crossed for all of us who utilize it :)

Nice find! I never get offers like that but I checked my Paypal account and I had it too. I ordered one $50 Disney GC and it worked just as you described. Any idea what the limit is for the number of times the coupon can be used? I noticed that it doesn't expire until December.

I tried. It did not work. Does the five dollars off show before you hit the final button?

It comes off when the total in your cart meets or exceeds $50 but you have to click through to Target .com by using the link on PayPal.

Thanks for the tip...just did it too!
Did you do it 6 times????

I figured it out. I have to log out of my Target account. I also switched to full website instead of mobile.
