Disney Gift Card Deals

According to DOC, this deal is dead.
::yes::
It started early in the morning yesterday. By the afternoon people were stating they did not receive the $10 bonus. Then late afternoon/evening it became available again, though short lived. I opted not to do this deal due to the fact there was no guarantee you would get the bonus. It was stated somewhere that the first 5+ thousand were available.

I'll watch for an update on this. So you have to submit your receipt manually?

The terms for ShopDisney on RMN clearly exclude gift cards, so if they mark your purchase as ineligible, doing a manual submit of the receipt will get someone to look at your purchase and tell you it is ineligible because you purchased gift cards. And it is never a good idea to bring attention to your account like that.

One last update for me regarding the BJ's gift card that was issued without being activated. To summarize:
Order placed 11/22/19
Order received 12/2/19, delivered by USPS
Checked balance on 12/3/19 and discovered an unactivated gift card
Called BJ's to let them know on 12/4/19
Called BJ's to follow up on 12/14/19
BJ's emailed that they would be sending a replacement card on 12/15/19
Replacement card delivered via UPS next day air, activated with correct balance on 12/18/19

Just thought I would share my experience to give you an honest idea of the timeline you can be dealing with when you order gift cards. Luckily our cards all arrived on time! Now if the days will just go by a little more quickly so I can go to Disney and spend it all :rotfl2:

Meijer has 10% off Happy gift cards tomorrow and Saturday. Coupon found in mPerks app. Unclear if you can still buy Disney gift cards at Home Depot using Happy Guy, but I shop there regularly, so no risk for me. I’ll try tomorrow and see how it goes!

I bought Disney GC with a happy card 2 days ago at HD with no issues. I used self check-out.

So I bought two $25 GCs to Fandango from MGCP. And both of the links don’t work! Anyone had this happen before? Of course the website says to wait 4 biz days for a response from customer service. Any way to trouble shoot it?

Advice needed! I’m about to buy Disney GCs from Target to pay for our trip (via a TA). How do the eGift cards work? Will I just be able to give our TA the info and she’ll apply to our balance? I’m nervous since we’re buying >2k Btw...I’ve been following this board for a while. You all amaze me! Thank you for so much good info!

Target will email you the gift card with the gift card number and activation code. You would give those to your TA.

ETA: I agree with combining them first on the Disney gift card website

They email you the number. But remember to combine them all on Disney GC website before you give it to the TA if anything gets refunded you only want to keep track of one or two cards as opposed to 10.

Thank you!! Ok we will pull the trigger and do this thing. And I’ll combine them on the Disney GC site. 5% savings is huge for us, especially on the cost of a full trip

OK, Update. First, I tried buying a $500 Disney Gift Card with my $500 Happy Guy gift card at Home Depot. The self checkouts were closed, so this wasn't an option this time, but I haven't been able to use self checkout to buy variable amount Disney gift cards in the past. So I went to a cashier. First problem - cashier states that I can't buy gift cards with other gift cards. I try explaining that a Happy Guy card processes as a Visa card, but she rightfully claims that it's still a gift card. She calls over her store manager who reaffirms her no-gift-cards policy. Says that even if I was paying cash, they'd have to "call in to corporate" to get approval for any gift card over $250. She asks to see the back of the git card, and lo and behold, the back of the Happy Guy gift card says something to the effect of "Cannot be used to purchase gift cards." Well, OK then. Can't argue against that!

I decide to go to another Home Depot store a few miles away in hopes that their self-checkout is open and I can buy ten $50 fixed-amount gift cards. Lucky me, they're open, and it works! Success! :thumbsup2

TL;DR: You can use Happy Guy gift cards at Home Depot to buy $50 Disney gift cards at self checkout or (presumably) with a less-than policy-zealous cashier.

Yes, I believe the understanding on the Happy cards at HD is - self checkout, $50 at a time, use as credit not debit. People haven’t been as successful with more than $50 and/or at regular (not self checkout) lines.

Has anyone seen American Airlines gift cards in stores? I've seen Delta and Southwest in my local stores, but not AA. They have my preferred route/times and it would be nice to save on airfare.
