For those in Texas I tried tonight to buy a bunch of groceries plus a $25 Disney card and pay with an HEB gift card and it was a no-go. I know we had a data point a few pages back that someone wasn't able to to GC-> GC at HEB, but it wasn't clear if it was shut down by the cashier or POS system or if it would work if additional items were in the order. I didn't even mention it to the cashier and just swiped and it would only apply the HEB gift card to my non-gift card portion of the order total. It required credit for the rest so that's officially dead. (Which probably explains the larger than normal amount of HEB gift cards on Raise.)

Where do you find end date. Dosh just replied to their Sam’s club thread on FB and said no end date yet. Sure it will be soon but I was hoping for 31st.

I went to Target today and boy have things changed! I haven't been on the board much since we went to WDW in January, due to post Disney depression. Without having a firm date of when we are going back, I just didnt have it in me. But I learned the hard way that I should have been following this thread!

I have been putting money into my "Saving 4 Disney" account. I have been working swagbucks, and I have been working coupons at Target, so that I could collect their $5 and $10 gift cards when there is a special on something we need. Today I went to my nearest Target to exchange $105 of little cards to be combined onto one card. Boy that was a pain! The system doesn't let them do that any more, so I "bought" a $105 gift card with all my little cards. I did this at the customer service desk when there was no line, and by the time the cashier had typed in all those numbers for each card, there was a line. Fortunately, no one was in a hurry!

Then I ran to pick up a few things, as well as a $100 gift card. Then ran to the check out line, got everything rung up and tried to pay with my gift card. The bill was only $133 and change, and when I handed over my gift card, it said that I could only apply it to $33.xx. OK, that's new to me. Then I asked for my gift card back, since there was over $60 left on it, and the cashier had thrown it away. When I made her look for it, she found one for$29 and insisted that's what I had given her. Fortunately, one of the cashiers from customer service came by, remembered me,and called over a manager to straighten things out. By then, I was late for picking up my son at school, and I had to leave everything behind, but I have my $105 Target gift card back. WHEW!!!

The worst part was that the cashier kept acting like I was trying to rip off the store. I will get that Disney gift card, but it will be when I have a bigger shopping list, and I will go to a different Target!

You cannot purchase a Disney GC with a Target GC anymore. That is why you could only pay for the $33.xx in merchandise with the Target GC. The $100 Disney GC cannot be paid for with a Target GC, not even partially.

Thank goodness you got your hard-earned money back. It sounds like a nightmare trip to Target. It seems like more and more of my visits to Target are getting to be an exercise in frustration. Hope that you find a way to spend down that $100+ GC.

Why did you buy Sam's gift cards and not Disney gift cards? Just trying to figure out what the strategy should be with this and if it is worth a Sam's membership.

I have another way to get Disney cards (via Kroger 4x fuel promo) that nets me more than the Sam's discount. So I buy the Sam's cards for use at Walmart/Sam's.

One thing to check - Sam's does $4 generic prescriptions if you have their premium membership (some are $10). When I compared prices, I determined that the membership would pay for itself in just 3 months with the reduced Rx price alone.

If you click on the info for the deal in the Dosh app it says until 8/29. I am hoping that means through 8/29 and that it will still work tomorrow.

I waited exactly 24 hours and 10 minutes and returned to Sam's today. I purchased one $150 pack and 1 $50 disney gift card. I used my debit card but clicked [other] on the payment box and clicked "sign for sale" instead of entering my PIN. AGAIN, IT DID NOT REQUIRE my signature and approved my sale. By the time I got to my car I had another $19.3x DOSH credit (my total sale for these two items was $193.xx).

The 8/29 end date was removed from the app! Fingers crossed!!

Really? Ohemgee......someone needs to try this on 8/30/18 to see if it's for real!

I went to the store and bought $200 in Sam's gift cards. I got $20 from the gift cards already and a $5 bonus for linking a card. I did not get the $20 for the new membership. Should I have gotten both or did I reach the limit for the day?

You should have gotten both. I don’t think the membership discount is supposed to count towards your daily cash back. That said, the same thing happened to me. I submitted a ticket and they said they are looking into it.

Regarding Dosh, Sam's and Uber Visa credits...yesterday I bought 2 sets of $200 gift cards from Sam's, using my husband's linked dosh credit card and my Disney Visa linked Dosh card which is also linked to my Uber account. I received $20 in dosh in both my husband and my account. So $40 total. Then today I went back to Sam's and bought $150 in groceries and $50 in Sam's gift cards and used my Disney Visa to pay. I got both the $20 Dosh reward and $10 in uber credits. I did NOT get the uber credits yesterday because I did NOT purchase anything besides the gift card. I believe the Uber promo says not valid on gift cards. FWIW, I also bought $200 in Sam's gift cards again today on my husband's card and he got the $20 dosh reward. So in 2 days I have:

$5 dosh signup for me after linking credit card
$5 dosh referral from my husband
$40 dosh rewards from Sam's
$10 uber credits

my husband has

Total earned - $105...easiest money I have ever made!

I found that my chase card went through with no wait. My Citi card I did not get credited immediately, and I sent in a ticket.

When you use a spouses credit card attached to the app on their phone are you using their credit card with their name on it when you pay or your name and same credit card number? Does Sam's look at the names when you pay? Does Dosh care?

Good question...I actually used my husband's credit card that was linked to his Dosh account. I didn't want to take any chances with Dosh. Sam's did not care at all because it was a chip reader so the cashier never saw the card. There was no signature required on the purchase. Hope that helps! FWIW, both our names are on the Sam's account so I was going to explain if they questioned it but I would have also understood if they didn't allow it.

Found out yesterday that I cannot do self-check out when purchasing a Sam's gift card at Sam's Club. Even though I also had groceries in the mix it wouldn't allow me to self check. However, when I went to the cashier she was very helpful and not only did a I do the Dosh deal, she converted my smaller Walmart gift cards (Swagbucks, etc) into larger Sam's cards no problem. By the time I hit the parking lot my Dosh reward posted even though I did use a chip-enabled card.

I have looked all over my Uber app for the ability to sign up for Visa Local Offers. I made sure the app was up to date, and read two ways I could find the sign up link on the app. But it's not there (iPhone). It's not on my husband's app either (Android). All I can figure is that there are no local offers so it's not available to us. We live in a semi-rural area and only use Uber when traveling. I think I'll contact them directly and ask about it because having Uber credit would be great for traveling.
