Interesting, ebay will not let me pay for the Best Buy gift card with the ebay bucks...I hope this is just a temporary glitch considering that it allowed others to do it earlier today.

I had the same problem this afternoon and well with DW's account. It's weird because 2 hours beforehand I had no problems using my account. If it still won't work tomorrow I'll call.

EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2017 eBay Bucks may not be redeemed for eBay Gift Cards within the Gift Cards & Coupons category

It clearly only excludes ebay gift cards, not other gift cards.

Earlier today I couldn't get to checkout with a BestBuy card, now I can load checkout, but can't apply my eBay Bucks.

GC purchases do not earn ebay bucks, but I don't see anywhere saying ebay bucks can't be used to purchase GCs other than eBay.

So, now that we can't use ebay gift cards to buy any gift cards on Ebay, is there any trick to saving more when purchasing a gift card through them? I'm going to buy a couple of the $100 CVS cards for $90 (because I will use them for regular spending). I used to buy ebay gift cards through gyft.com to earn 5x points by buying through paypal using my Ink+ card, but I think that trick is dead.

I'm assuming the best I can do now is to go through ebates, SB, etc to earn a few points for the purchase.

I'm getting a little bit closer. I can get to checkout now and apply my Ebay Bucks, but once I submit I get a "Something went wrong..." error.

We have til Feb 2 to use the eBucks, so I am going to wait for PPDG to be more compliant, or I may get a Disney gift card from a private seller, if something good comes available.

Was just able to buy a $20 Target GC for $3.64 after the 1% discount on it and my $16.16 in ebucks. Now, is Target still allowing in store GC -> GC purchases? I bought $600 worth during the 10% off sale and haven't had a chance to turn them into Disney yet.

On a side note, I placed an order for a $900 computer from Dell on November 25 through ebates at 12% cash back. I then bought 2 more computers 2 days later. The last 2 purchase credited to my ebates account, but the first one never did. So after a round a week, I contacted ebates and they told me you have to wait 2 weeks from when the item shipped. So after 2 weeks and still no cash back in my account, I contacted ebates again on December 21. They said,
"We are only able to add Cash Back to your account when stores let us know about your order. We have contacted the store to verify your order. It usually takes about 10 business days for us to hear back, but it may take up to 45 days. We realize this can be an inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience."

As of today, I still have not gotten the cash back. (And I am not too optimistic that I will get it back at this point.) Just to realize, 12% of $900 is $108 that I am out.

The point of all this is that ebates is obviously not a guarantee so be careful when taking advantage of ebates offers, especially if you are buying Disney tickets through Orbitz when they offer 15% back. The cash back is not always a sure thing.

I finally decided to get a Best Buy card from a private seller. She was auctioning a $25 card, but no one was bidding on it - I think because it said Merry Christmas? Anyway, got the card for $23, and used my ebucks, and now I am DONE with ebay. No more worrying about losing my Paypal account, no more trying to figure out why I am not getting promotions.

Sears and Gamestop are already close to 6% off and with the sale, it makes sense to check this if you shop there. Best Buy cards were going for 2.5% off plus the 4%, but they are going fast, and I just did better than that on ebay.
NOTE: If you already bought $1000 worth through a portal, they will not give any more money through ANY portal, so don't count on any rebates if you have shopped with them a lot

Congratulations!!! Here's hoping you can find some new ways to save or earn some extra. Any chance you have some people in your network that can give you some work-at-home options, like transcribing or data-entry? Do the docs not want you to work to allow healing or to avoid getting sick?

Hi--can someone please clarify for me?

Target Red Card 5% discount (both credit and debit cards) is still valid on Disney gift cards purchased in a Target store, but no longer from Target.com. True?
You can buy discounted Target gift cards from other sites (i.e. Raise.com) and take them into a Target store to buy a Disney gift card. True?
But, you can't do both together, right? You can't buy a discounted Target gift card, take it to a Target store to buy a Disney gift card and then input your Red Card number to get an additional 5% off? Right? It's one or the other?
