Okay so a quick question. I thought you can't use a target gc online to purchase a Disney GC anymore? I found I have $41.91 left at target online. I hadn't used the account since things changed back in May. So, just to see what was up I put a $100 disney gc in the cart and went to check out. It was giving me the 5% red card discount. And It says "it's your lucky day, you have $41.91, use this to pay. So I went to checkout, and it still had the 5% discount using the target gc balance and then 53.09 on the redcard, still giving the full 5%. I didn't complete but I thought that first, you couldn't purchase disney gc with target gc online anymore and that you certainly wouldn't get the 5% on anything not on the redcard? Surprised it appears it will let me do this, won't it just actually cancel out after completing?

Orders have been going through but getting cancelled immediately unless something changes overnight.

Thanks, @ellie05 ! I figured it wouldn't work but don't understand why they lead you to believe it will work by allowing it to go thru but then cancelling after that. Why let it go thru at all? If it's not allowed to buy a disney gc with a target gc online, it should not allow that form of payment and it should not invite me telling me it's my lucky day and use this gc to purchase your item. It should be able to tell there's a gc in the cart. Stupid Target, lol, wish it'd just go back to the way it was, lol!

Thanks for posting! My area Kroger finally posted a 4x sale for next weekend 11/11-11/13 and there are the MC/Visa $10 off $100 gc and also there's an Amex $10 off $100 gc. I've got 3 Visas from last month I plan to use to purchase those then I'll be using them to get Disney unless the Visa/MC Amex coupon are more than one-time uses then I'll really be turning them over.
Anyone who has used the 4x or the Visa/MC coupons know if it's more than one-time use?

Question for folks paying with Visa debits using a PIN at Kroger . . . Can you split tender? My husband tried to buy a $500 Disney card yesterday with a $200 Visa debit + $200 Visa debit + $100 Visa debit. It rejected. He ended up doing 3 separate transactions, which worked fine. Just curious as to what went wrong so that I can fix for next time. Its POSSIBLE, in my gift card mania, that I forgot to actually set a pin on one of the cards, so it could be me. But curious about others' experiences paying with pin enabled Visas and running them as debits. @DIS_MERI ????

Last months promo had that Visa/MC gc coupon at Kroger for 4x fuel points. Disney gc weren't part of the promo so I got visas and have saved them with plans to use on next 4x fuel when Disney is included but I'm going to try to use one of my $100 visa With a pin on Friday to buy another $100 visa with the $10 off and 4x fuel points. Basically turning over my gc again especially since Kroger is allowing the unlimited redemption right now.

I added the AmExp offer to my Kroger card too but was too chicken to buy one yesterday. Do those work the same way in terms of using them to buy GC's? I guess if it didn't work I could just use it for groceries but I like to keep all my vacation funds separate

Not sure. I'm going to buy mine Friday. Way I look at it if I can't turn it into a Disney card I still get 4x fuel points and 5% off and it's flexible to use wherever I want - could go to BB and get a Disney gc there with it and use shopkick. It's still discounted money to me. I love these offers bc even if I don't use in vacation fund I can use in regular spending.

Thanks. I got the boxed offer too. I also had an offer for a $10 credit with a $50 purchase at JCPenney. I haven't seen Disney gift cards there but they have iTunes, Starbucks, restaurants, etc.

All this AMEX talk has me quite bummed - I used to have an AMEX card, but it was a JetBlue card that ended their deal with AMEX, so now it's a crappy MC.

I'm also quite hesitant to apply for any since (according to my credit report) I'm already at 7 new cards in the last 24 months. I'm not sure if that includes AU and/or cards that changed companies (a la Jet Blue), but I think it's going to be at least 10 months before that number goes down at all, and I do want to get myself a Chase Preferred, although I might be able to qualify for a business Ink.

Anyway, I think I might need to just sit tight until next fall & see what I can put together then.

Yes! Shopkicks brought back surprise envelopes with +1 kick about a month or two ago! There are also video ads in the top frame and under products worth watching for 10 kicks.

Sorry, I can't help with this because I do separate transactions for each gift card to keep from drawing attention. I would love to find out if doing split tender is possible but it doesn't sound like it.

We have stop & shop here, I believe they are owned by the same company and we can't buy visa/MasterCard or amex gift cards with a credit card. This makes it not worth it for me. Don't take my word for it, the policy at giant may be different than stop & shop.
