Did anyone get PPDG today - specifically BB - and see if the email had a bar code? That was a little bit of a pain going in there without one

I think PPDG cut me off after 6 separate GC transactions today. I'm getting an error processing payment now. I'm going to give it a rest; surprised I got so many transactions in!

I got 7 in when the sale first started. I swear I think they let up massively after the gc to gc allowances were mixed by eBay.

Nope I activated Ebates just in case, but haven't gotten any notification of cash back and don't expect to.

When the $5 off sale started I went through swagbucks and now it's showing pending. Their fine print says no ebay gift cards. I guess others are okay?

Well, I finally called paypal today (not ebay) and told them about the situation with the gift cards being used in California and that I had heard that many people on the internet were having similar issues. After putting me on hold, they issued me a credit for the full amount to my paypal account. (Even better than putting the money back on the ebay gift cards which I had originally paid with.) It isn't even showing as a return on my ebay account, so I hopefully I will still get the 10% back in ebay bucks.

It seems to me that they clearly know about the hack and they are going to probably refund your money if you call them and tell them you heard from lots of others that this is a paypal issue of cards being drained.

Personally, I think it would be nicer if they issued a public statement because there are probably thousands of people who have no clue about this and won't find out until they try to use their gift cards when going holiday shopping in November.

Then again, seeing how many people here on the disboards are posting that they bought gift cards from PPDG today, maybe paypal has nothing to worry about - I mean they let thieves hack and steal gift card numbers and people still are buying their cards. Go figure?

I called and the guy told me there was no way PPDGC was hacked. But, he filed a complaint and said I should hear something in about 10 days. I would love a credit to my Paypal account since I don't have the eBay cards anymore.

Well.....I called PP back and asked for a supervisor after getting nowhere with the person that answered the phone. She said their guarantee doesn't cover gift cards. They will not admit that there was a hack, and I should contact BB for a refund. I was very nice to them throughout the hour long phone call.
Good grief!

I try to keep buying them (BB GC from EBay using PP) and it keeps saying I'm not logged in, I log in and nada. Does this mean they have cut me off???? WAHHHHHHH I have a lot more GC to get!

Is the PPDG still offering the $5 off $50? For those who have used it how did you get it to take the $5 off? I went all the way through check out until I would've had to hit confirm and pay and it never showed $5 off. I'm thinking maybe they reached the "while supplies last" limit.

PPDGC already has $400 of my $..........I won't be giving them anymore.

So, never used Swagbucks, Is it similar to ebates? Can you earn cash back? I thought it was a place where you do various things on like your ipad or phone for example, to earn rewards that you can turn into gc's eventually.

Anyone still use Topcashback? They have 1.1% back on ebay or three days right now. Haven't used them in a while, but they were fine back in early spring when I did, though it took awhile to get things to be confirmed and the cash to be available.

I used ebates in making a purchase for a laptop from BB thru Ebay, they did not pay out on that purchase. I thought it was in the Home category but guess not.

So sorry so many our having issues with their gc's bought thru PPDG. I'm so lucky, ironically, that ebay had put on the $2000 rolling limits when they did, or I'm pretty sure I'd be one of those with some empty cards if I could have purchased in early August! Earlier in the summer, at one time, between DD26 and myself, we had over $2000 in BB gc's on my phone!
It's really disgraceful the way some are getting customer service agents trying to cover things and deny any Paypal hacking or responsibility for the empty gc's. Doesn't make sense that some are getting refunds and others are hearing lies and denials. I don't understand how they don't face legals issues and backlash for their unethical practices, as if they are immune to any rules of business, honesty or ethics, or keeping customers satisfied.

Swagbucks has several ways for you to earn cash back, including answering surveys, watching videos and searching the web. (Similar to MyPoints, which they now own.) But they also give rebates in the same way ebates does. I have only been working with SB seriously for about 2 weeks, and I already earned 3 gift cards. Thanks to the swagbucks thread on this board, I learned about an offer that gave 3000 swagbucks, which is the equivalent of $30. I haven't found anything as lucrative since then, but I don't have to worry about anyone shutting down any accounts, or losing money.

I am also doing m+ as well, but it doesn't earn as much money as quickly.

Call Best Buy at 1-888-716-7994 and the automated system will tell you the date your cards were used. To find out where they were used, you will have to actually talk to a customer service representative. It looks like I got very lucky getting a refund from them...I feel the pain of all of you who haven't gotten your money back yet, I really thought I wasn't going to get mine back. I really would suggest that if they refuse to give your money back, hold on to your gift cards and keep details of your interactions with them. Sooner or later all this is going to come out and I can see a huge class action lawsuit over this.

PayPal is seriously the sketchiest company I've ever come across. I had BB gc from those time frames but I normally use them same day because I don't trust digital gc - more bc of email hacks but guess I was wrong to trust the issuing company!

Anyone try the PayPal gc or cash cards loading to their accounts yet? I got an email from PayPal about doing so but I'm not sure how I feel about that. Granted it's approaching the holiday season and I'm using PayPal hand over fist it seems like these days. I wouldn't mind churning a small amount this way via Walgreens cards after this ebucks redemption period when confirmed we can still cash out ebucks for gc.

Converted by last $100 WG card to ebay yesterday and used that plus another $62 I still had in ebay to purchase a bluetooth speaker and some headphones from the Target ebay store. Hoping I don't have any issues trying to return these to Target next weekend after they come in. To those of you who have done this already, do you just bring in the packing slip that comes in with the package? I wasn't sure if you need to use that or bring in the Paypal emailed receipt for the purchase. Was thinking the emailed receipt could be confusing since it does show the total, but also shows $0.00 paid via Paypal.
