Disney Gift Card and snacks...

Are Disney Gift Cards accepted at the vendors that sell snacks only (ice cream, churro, hot dog cart, etc)?

Yes, there might be an odd popcorn card with out a scanner for cards but we have never run into a place we couldnt use Disney gift cards.

We were advised at the Disney store, that we should consider purchasing some disney dollars in addition to the gift card we've been loading up. That way if one of the vendors does not have a machine (and therefore no capability to take any card), we can still use the Disney dollars there and spare our cash...
