Disney Gift card and mobile ordering

Last December I wasn't able to save a disney gift card as my perferred method of payment on my MDE account (or I couldn't figure it out) so all the mobile orders went against my Credit Card. Has that changed and now I can save a gift card on my MDE account to use to pay for mobile orders or how do I charge to the gift card through the Mobile Order.

You can use a gift card, but you cannot save it in MDE. A good tip people use is to write the number in your phone’s Notes app and then copy and paste it into the MDE app to avoid having to type it every time.

Well, you can use the rewards card for mobile order, but it is treated just like a giftcard in the sense that you can't actually save it in your MDE. Like a giftcard, store the number in your notes app and then copy/paste it when you do the mobile order.
