Disney GC to buy an annual pass?

I know you can use Disney Gift Cards to buy tickets and pay for some resorts in the area but what about using them for an annual pass? is that OK? I figured it should be but before we buy 1000 in Disney GCs, better check....we are at Disneyland if this makes any difference

Yes you can! On the disneygiftcard website it is listed under disneyland as things you can use it on.

I buy Disney gift cards when my local grocery store has promos. I have used them for my last annual pass and my DVC dues this year. They had a killer promo last November. $10 grocery coupon for every $100 in gift cards plus 20 cents fuel perks! I bought $1700 worth for my dues, so I got $170 in grocery coupons (good on almost everything) and $3.40 in fuel perks (per gallon). Got a full tank plus a partial one.

Just make sure the gift card you are buying is good for Disney parks and disneyland. there are disney store cards that can only be used in the store and can't use it to buy tickets or AP at the store.
