We recently purchased the Disney Scene It game. We all played a game the other night and everyone enjoyed it. DS7 and DD9 really thought it was great and DH who doesn't enjoy board games had to admit that it was fun.
The kids are now wanting to see all the Disney movies from the game clips. I thought we had seen just about all of them but have realized there are more out there to see.
It does have a shortened version if you don't want to invest too much time.
All in all we enjoyed the game and it was a great investment.
Thanks for the review.... we just bought it as our family Christmas gift.
Was looking at possibly getting the Disney Trivial pursuit too but can't seem to find it anywhere (well the toys R us in Kitchener and the Sears and Zellers here in Guelph are the only places I looked so far)
Anyone have a reveiw for the Disney trivial pursuit game??
Glad to hear the great review. I bought it the other night, and it will be a "family gift" under the tree. Wal-Mart had the best price of around $40. I could kick myself because when it first came out, they were offering a special price of $35. I had it in my cart, and then decided I wasn't sure Other places I've seen it have it priced around $50
I went to Toys R Us tonight to check out the price for Disney Scene It and they want $49.99 for it. I checked out Target in the US and they want $28.99 for it. I'm heading over to Amherst again in the am tomorrow so I may pick one up while I'm there. Thanks for mentioning it, I'd never heard of it before!
I have the Disney trivia and have had it for some time and love it. Hey bitsnbearsmom I'm from Guelph too. My kids can't play it alot because some of the questions are hard. Hubby and I play it alot.
Wow... nice to find another Diser in Guelph!! I'm in the South end how about you??
as for the Trivia game.... was it supposed to be for the kids??lol I thought I read that there were separate questions for the adults and the kids.... perhaps that was the scene it game.... oh now I'm all confused!!
The Scene It game does have separate question cards for the adults.
My DS7 and DD9 had no trouble playing the game and had the upper hand because they were more familiar with the Disney movies and characters than I am.
I haven't played the Trivia one so I can't say anything about it.
Hey bitsnbearsmom I live in the south end also. I live in Westminster woods , how close are you to that? The questions with the trivia one include all disney movies not just animated ones. They also have questions on Walt and his family.
We got the Disney Scene It game as a housewarming present, and of course had to try it out right away. Loved it, but I was stumped by a question, maybe someone else can help me. The question was:
"What character is in Disney's Beauty & the Beast, Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Disney's Beauty & the Beast the Enchanted Christmas?"
Don't worry, I won't ruin the game for you by giving one answer, there are tons of cards! The answer was Belle. Where is she in Hunchback?
I ended up buying the game at Target this weekend. It was $28.89US. This will be the family Christmas present. Thanks for starting the thread about it!
We have had the Trivial Pursuit one for a few years now. It is good but only if you can read and have seen the movie on the card.
We just got the kids the Scene It for the holidays and am looking forward to playing it. It is one of the few things both kids could enjoy.
