So I am trying to work out some kind of budget. So far logic is telling me to buy a Disney Premier Passport for next years trip. According to my figures it is worth getting as I will end up making some reasonable savings.

WDW 10 Day Park Hopper: $379.95 (Undercover Tourist)
DL 5 Day Park Hopper: $285 (aRes Travel)
10 Days parking fee @ WDW: $140

Total: $804.95

Vs.

Disney Premier Passport: $849
Florida Sales Tax: $50.94 (approx.)

Total: $899.94

Difference being $94.99

So with the DPP you get other discounts on things like merchandise too right?
Also I am guessing it will be worth it to purchase Table in Wonderland as we usually eat at at least one TS meal a day and pay OOP. How much discount do you get with TiW? Any Oz/NZ Disers used this before?

Does this sound right/make sense? Anyone have any thoughts to my thinking?

The other advantage is you can do more than 5 days at DL with the PP. Of course, if you have any left over WDW days, you could use those too.

Would you only get one? You would probably save. I think the tables in wonderland card is $75 and you save 20%, so I think it would pay to get one.

Definitely worthwhile!! 20% off dining virtually means no tip to worry about which over that length of time would add up!

I too was considering one for my "maybe but probably not happening" trip, same time length at each parks as you. Whilst I haven't really investigated the benefits, I think the overall savings from discounts whether that be that on merchandise, food/dining and even on your accommodation if staying onsite would be enough to pay for it's costs, especially if travelling as a family. Only one person needs to have the AP for the discounts, everyone else could do the first option if you wanted to save a bit.

On top of that, you will also have a good excuse to return within the year ;)

Yeah TIW is good, the main thing with having this and the AP is remembering when time comes to pay. The amount of times I just forgot I should have been getting a discount really added up! :rotfl:

Just thought I'd point out...the DPP is valid for a whole year. I would have thought you would have written....

"next year's tripS!"

:thumbsup2

Is it true I read somewhere you can only get a Premier AP onsite? I read on a site recently you can only purchase them at the ticket booths, guest relations and DTD?

I am too wondering if we should purchase a disney AP for one of us when we go. We will be staying in WDW for 10 nights, so 8 day park hopper passes for us and then we may do one day in DL on the way through LA.

Id buy the AP and then have to have another trip back to make the most of it ;)

I would think a 9 or 10 day park hopper, then use the extra day at Disneyland (providing it will all be within 14 days) would be the best value in this case.
