Disney for Anniversary

Next year is our 30 th( wooo... i am old) and we were originally planning a trip to Europe but have been recently considering taking the kids and grandbaby to wdw instead. is this crazy??? am i really just trying to get out of learning French? we have all been to wdw except the baby ...any thoughts???

I think life is about memories. From the sounds of it the memories with your entire family would be a good thing.

Skip Europe, bring the family to Disney and spend a day at Epcot World Showcase for the Paris fix!

We did our 20th at Disney. It was fun but it was just the DW and I for a 3 day trip. (We are locals)

sorry about not responding sooner( hard drive died, then surprise visit to hospital for me, lousy month!!) thanks for the congrats....DLP would be great but pockets not full enough for that one!

Get two. The cabins sleep six. The bedroom has a comfy double bed with bunk beds. There's a door closing it off from the living area. There's also a door leading out to the deck. In the living area, there's a double size Murphy bed. All your kitchen supplies will be for six people.

We had two cabins side by side for a total of nine people. Worked extremely well.

And congrats. We did our 20th anniversary at Disney World with the entire family. Renewed our vows. And then did the above trip to celebrate our son's 21st birthday and his engagement to his now wife (he proposed on the trip).

We did our 24th at wdw and it was great fun. Now it was just DH and I. We wore Mickey and Minnie bride and groom heads. The CMs seemed to find it great fun that we were celebrating our 24th honeymoon with them. I saw the recommendation for the cabins and it worked well for them. We have never tried it but 2 friends of mine did it with their families (not together) and neither liked it very well. Seemed like a bit too much togetherness and the cabins are quite a ways from anywhere. I don't know alot about the cabins but they had to take 1 bus to get to the bus stop to the parks. Maybe you and DH get your own room...........We did go with my sister and parents. Mom and Dad did share their room with my niece, about age 16 and it went well. It seemed with my friends it was them and their adult kids that made things a little tense at times. And they both have great relationships with them normally.
Anyway while Europe would be nice, I'm thinking the wdw trip with the family seems very special.

My parents just celebrated their 25th at WDW in May. Our whole family went down. The best part is that my parents took a 4 day cruise to start the trip while the rest of us poked around the world. Then they came back and we had some special things planned for them. We reserved an Illuminations cruise and dinner for their actual anniversary and they received balloons and cards from characters, the dining staff, the captain, the resort, etc. As they said, it was the best vacation and anniversary they have ever had.

DW & I are planning to celebrate our 25th anniversary next July with a week at BCV & our first Disney Cruise.

Uh, no...we're not even considering taking anyone else! Those days are over. The next time I plan on taking someone else is when I take my grand kids for the first time. Should be around 2015 or so.

well to be totally honest it IS our first ( only) grandbaby that made me even think of this( the adult kids can fend for themselves ) last trip was our best ever and was just hubby and me but we want to be there for the new kid's first Mickey trip.

also...does anyone know if it has to be on your actual anniversary to tell them it is your anniversary trip( some have reperted on special things disney will do for anniversaries ect)we'd probably go in fall or winter and our actual anniversary is July.
