Disney Food Pictures...Part V!

Snacks around the Magic Kingdom! I had a Mickey cinnamon bun from Starbucks, Mickey ice cream cone from the Plaza, and the most yummy pineapple cupcake from Contempo cafe!

Our last stop before heading home was Kona Cafe. I had the tonga toast (amazing) and the guys each had the big kahuna. And we had the Kona French press pot!

Dinner at Trattoria Al Forno. I had pasta and the guys had pizza (but I didn't get a pic of that!

That pasta looks heavenly. I think I decided what I'm ordering next week

Its was amazing! The Pasta Carbonara was huge! I split it with my son. I think it was only $22. A deal Disney! LOL

Las Ventanas at Coronado Springs Resort

Huevos Benedicto - soft corn arepas, seared pork belly, soft poached eggs and roasted pablano holandaise, served with chilaquiles



Huevos Divorciados - two eggs any style served over a cheese quesadilla with black beans and scallion potatoes, topped with fresh salsa roja, salsa verde and queso fresco

It's Not Bleedin' Chowder! - That's what Master Chef said! It's the Freshest cuts of seafood and potatoes in a white wine infused cream broth

Kona Café

Macadamia-Pineapple Pancakes - with Macadamia Nut Butter, with Pineapple Sauce on the side (I thought I remembered it being too sweet and I was right. But I like my pancakes less sweet than most. I really only used the butter and they were perfect for me.) Instead of meat I asked for a scrambled egg - and I'm pretty sure that is more than one.


Regular old pancakes with sausage (I think he had already taken one, haha!)


Skipper Canteen

Bread service (we liked it, I've read that some don't)


Char Siu Pork - Marinated grilled pork served with Chinese broccoli and choice of five-grain or white rice


Skip's Beefy Baked Pasta - Egyptian-inspired dish of spiced braised beef, pasta, and bechamel sauce served with seasonal vegetables


The Fountain - at The Dolphin Resort

Peanut butter with oreo crumbles (I think)

Country Casserole - griddled hash browns, onion, mushroom, cheddar cheese, two eggs any style (poached), sausage gravy (honestly, this was a horrible choice and I went against my better judgement; it was heavy and greasy and I felt sick for quite a while after)


Southern Staple - buttermilk biscuits, house sausage gravy, two eggs any style (fried), hash browns


La Hacienda de San Angel - Epcot Mexico Pavilion

Complementary Chips and Salsa


Classic Margarita


Orange Mango Fire Margarita - Tequila, ginger liqueur, orange juice, mango puree, fresh lime juice, a hint of Tabasco sauce, served on the rocks with a Tajin chili powder rim



Tacos de Camarones - Fried shrimp, chipotle-lime aioli, cabbage, lime and salsa verde, all served over flour tortillas


This was off the vegetarian menu and I can't quite recall what it was (sorry! but it was very tasty)


rice and beans with my meal, both were unnecessary because the above was plenty but they came with


Horchata margarita - tequila, Horchata cream rum (dairy), Fireball cinnamon whiskey, and agua de Horchata topped with cinnamon powder (very sweet but good)

Sunrise Sandwich with roasted potatoes


Roasted Mushroom & Spinach Omelet - egg whites, mozzarella; comes with roasted potatoes


Morimoto Asia - we've been here several times and the food has always been great. This visit we had horrendous service, unfortunately. Just very inattentive and unapologetic

Morimoto Spare Ribs - pork ribs, cilantro, hoisin sweet chili glaze (3 ribs) - these came after our entrees after we asked for them several times, no apology or explanation and not even a mention of taking them off the bill


Kung Pao Chicken - carrots, shimeji, mushrooms, bell peppers, bamboo shoots, cashew nuts, stir-fried with spicy Szechuan sauce


Steamed Vegetables - assorted seasonal vegetables, tofu, ponzu sauce


Sushi - Spicy Yellowtail - Japanese yellowtail, spicy mayo, scallion


Cookies and Cream single scoop from Ghiradelli - this place is always a madhouse after dinner but it's a solid choice for ice cream

The Wave at Disney's Contemporary Resort

Florida Rock Shrimp Omelet - avocado, pepper jack cheese, and breakfast potatoes; asked to sub grits for potatoes and it wasn't a problem. This whole dish was incredible!!!


Citrus Scented Brioche French Toast - seasonal fruit compote and choice of bacon, pork or chicken sausage


Splitsville at Disney Springs

Bacon cheeseburger with fries


Macho Nachos - loaded with seasoned ground beef, shredded Jack, nacho cheese, black beans, corn, pico de gallo, sour cream, pickled jalapenos, and drizzled with avocado ranch; substitute grilled blackened chicken to make them Macho Chicken Nachos - I subbed for grilled chicken


Vivoli Gerlateria

Waffle Bowl - up to three flavors with whipped cream and chocolate sauce - I got pistachio and I think hazelnut and sweet cream. Pretty tasty but quite small and pricy (about $10) We shared and were a little disappointed in the size

Pollo A Las Rajas - grilled chicken breast served with red peppers and onions in a cream sauce, poblano rice, and queso fresco


Lomo de Puerco en Salsa Verde - pork in roasted green sauce and poblano peppers, served with corn-potato puree, melted cheese and nopales

I really enjoyed the wings and shrimp at 'Ohana. Thought the chicken was consistently overcooked, and the beef hit or miss.
