Thank you so much for this review! Confirms my choices! Amazing that your food was exactly the order I am thinking. lol Can you you order it without mushrooms?

I just ordered it as is, but the veggies did taste pretty fresh to me so maybe you can order it without the mushrooms. Is it an allergy, or just a personal preference? If it's just personal preference, I don't remember there being too many mushrooms in it. If it's an allergy, note it on your ADR and the chef will come speak to you when you arrive.

We really enjoyed the food there. Plan to go back for sure even with all the chaos that night!

When I had the scallops it was a SALT LICK. And I love salt. My DH couldn't believe I was complaining about too much salt. He tasted it and had to spit it into his napkin.

Wow, I'm very sensitive to salty tasting foods and I didn't find this salty at all. Either the chef working the night I was there used an unusually low amount of salt, or the chef working the night you were there had an unusually heavy hand with the salt.

In 2010 when we went to Le Cellier (first and last time there), I had the filet mignon but I subbed potato gratin instead of the risotto (I'm just not a big fan of risotto and prefer a potato dish with my steak), and the potato gratin was so salty I couldn't get past that first bite. That was such a disappointment as I had been really looking forward to it.

The gray stuff is now generic cool whip with generic cookie crumbs. It's not really an icing consistency. Not the same as when it was only offered in tiny amounts. The triple Choc and strawberry cupcakes were both excellent. Even my kids wouldn't eat up the gray stuff I ended up scraping it all off it was that bad.

I had it one week ago. It doesn't taste like cool whip. There are no 'crumbs'. It is a very delicate mousse. It is very light and fluffy. To me, it was fantastic. If your kids were expecting something very sugary, then they probably would be disappointed, but not everyone has the same taste. I'm usually scraping off icing when it's very heavy and full of sugar, so everyone has their own preferences. It was definitely NOT generic or poorly made in any way. In fact, to make a mousse that delicate and rich is an indication of quality.

Can you tell me if there's celery and green pepper in the lobster roll?

Agree with the previous poster on the celery. It's been awhile since I've had it, but I do believe it was in there. Don't remember any green pepper (and I would because I don't care for it at all), but there was quite a bit of red bell pepper.

I have allergies and have seen the ingredient list so not guessing about the ingredients. Everyone does have different tastes but when something is promoted as being special but is something anyone could make at home from premade items it's disappointing. It's a huge restaurant and they have designed the menu Ina way that the kitchen can make things in quantity while maintaining a decent quality level. My mistake was expecting something better than decent but glad I didn't pay dinner prices to learn.

By far my absolute favourite at the festival. :) Oh don't get me wrong the food is great but you can't go wrong with taking a sip of drinkable chocolate then a sip of sparkling red wine. :)

I know people love the Cheddar Cheese soup, but it wasn't for me. I don't like anything with pepper, and there was so much in it that I couldn't finish it. :( I wasn't interested in the risotto that's served with the filet, so I asked if I could substitute the baked potato, but they said they were out of them! :confused3 So I got the roasted potatoes instead. I enjoyed the meal, but I don't get why this restaurant is so popular. I think Yachtsman Steakhouse and Shula's are better.

Someone must have made a mistake on your soup! I am very sensitive to pepper as well, and this soup is a must for me every trip! I'm sorry you didn't have a great experience!
