Half of the Tuna Sandwich at the Old Key West Snack bar- it was very big and pretty good.

Jiko- Lamb Loin (it was just alright, my husband got the short ribs and LOVED them, he said they were melt in your mouth, but he wouldn't let me take a picture).

Earl of Sandwich- The Thanksgiving special sandwich (I don't remember exactly what it was called, but it was pretty good, even though it looks gross in the picture).
IMG_1994.jpg

I have reviews in the trip report in my siggie if you need them- enjoy!

Thanks to you all for taking the time to make all of us drool.!!!! These photos are the best and I can hardly wait for my trip.
Earl OF Sandwich is also one of my favorites for a quick sandwich.....delicious.

Again thanks to all the posters for doing this

Here is a picture of the Thanksgiving sandwich from Earl of Sandwich. It is the one on the left. The other sandwich is Le Frenchy. They are both great.

I know it looks messy, but is very delicious. I love having this type of sandwich.

Chicken Sandwich at the old Tusker House

AK-Tukser-03.jpg

I only discovered this delicious sandwich just before they redid Tusker House! I f I had known about it earlier, I would have made sure to have it every trip!! It was so delicious and such a let down to find a new favorite counter service meal only to have it close before I could go back again!!! Thanks for the pic!!

My DW and I had dinner at Jiko a few weeks ago. Soo yummy.

Bread with sundried tomato butter.

We shared the Pokanoket Farm Seared Ostrich Filet - with creamed sweet potatoes and pomegranate gastrique. I have no idea what a pomegranate gastrique is, but the Ostrich was amazingly good. It was tender, juicy and absolutely the best steak I've ever tasted. It was very hard to share this with DW.

For my entree, I had the Swahili Curry Shrimp - with East African Curry Sauce, Artichokes, and Coconut Rice. Mmm..I love curry and I love shrimp, so this was perfect for me. It was also a huge portion, so if you are looking for something to split, this would be ideal. It is spicy, but I love spicy, so I was happy.

DW got the Nantucket Scallops - with Butternut Squash Gratin, Apple Slaw, and Apple Vinaigrette. I had no idea that there was a Nantucket in Africa! Regardless of where the scallops were from, they were also quite tasty. She got 4 large scallops on top of the squash with the apple slaw next to it. Quite the pretty presentation.

Dessert time! I had to try the passionfruit panna cotta with roasted pineapple, spiced caramel, and coconut-curry sorbet. I haven't ever even heard of a panna cotta before and curry ice cream sounded really interesting. It was actually quite good! the panna cotta was like a vanilla flan and got a lot of flavor from the curry ice cream. I love pineapple, so anything with sweet pineapple appeals to me. I would get this again, it was that good.

DW got the House-Made Meyer Lemon Curd - With pomegranate and blueberry compote, white chocolate biscotti, and sour cream ice cream. She liked the lemon curd, but didn't seem that thrilled with the sour cream ice cream. She said it was "an interesting mix of flavors".

Lunch at Tutto Italia! All I can say is...wow. We will certainly be back. I wouldn't want to eat this heavy food in August, but in January, pasta is perfect. We had a gorgeous waiter whose name I've completely forgotten, but he was lovely to look at and provided very good service.

Bread, olives and olive oil

Olive oil after we asked for some balsamic vinegar to be added. Find the hidden Mickey!
Disney2009192.jpg

I had the Tagliatelle alla Primavera, which is tagliatelle egg pasta with zucchini, broccoli, peas, mushrooms, and tomatoes in a light cream sauce.
Disney2009195.jpg

DW had Bucatini Gratinati with Italian prosciutto ham, peas and parmesan cream.
Disney2009193.jpg

We also asked what the Chef's Side Dishes were for that day and it was roasted asparagus with roasted tomatoes. Yummy, so we got an order of that to share.
Disney2009194.jpg

OMG..I was in pasta heaven. Carbs and I are good friends and this was absolutely scrumptious. It was a large plate of pasta and I have to admit I ate nearly the whole thing. The asparagus was also roasted perfectly and still had a nice snap to it. Very, very good.

For dessert I had the Copetta Sotto Bosco - berries, zabaglione cream gelato and chocolate sauce and while I didn't think I'd be able to eat more than a couple bites, it was soooo tasty that I ate the whole thing!
Disney2009198.jpg

DW had cream filled puff pastry with hot chocolate sauce poured on top. Her dessert didn't last long either.

i agree in describing tutto italia as WOW!
it could've been a signature restaurant with the quality of food and service! they're my new favorite! i cant wait to eat there again. I had the coppetti bosco, not sure if i spelled that correctly, both times i ate there because it is so good! we had the dessert sampler too, that was great too!

I'm right in the midst of making plans for ADR's for our May trip (can call next weekend!) and realized I never posted our dining photos from last July. I did a dining review, but always nice to have everything in one place here, right?

Wolfgang Puck Express - one of our favorites!

DS's Kid's pepperoni pizza - very good!:

Julytrip20081184.jpg

DH's rotisserie chicken and garlic mashed potatoes - DH's favorite:

Julytrip20081187.jpg

My BBQ Chicken Quesadilla - interesting flavors, very good:

Julytrip20081188.jpg

Chinois Chicken Salad - DStepmom loved this:

Julytrip20081190.jpg

DDad's Spicy Chicken Pizza - chicken is a little dry, but very good:

Julytrip20081191.jpg

Cookies for dessert - they look ordinary, but are super soft and taste homemade:

Julytrip20081189.jpg

Turtle sundae with Frozen Yogurt:

Julytrip20081193.jpg

Vanilla frozen yogurt with berries:

Julytrip20081192.jpg

WPE is a family favorite and it was wonderful to share it with my dad and his wife.

DS's Mickey jaw breaker - snack credit (HUGE!)

July2708122.jpg

Raspberry lemonade - MK's Enchanted Grove snack credit - VERY refreshing and delicious!!

July2708070.jpg

Used two CS credits here - bacon, egg and cheese croissant with a doughnut for the "dessert", a diet coke and a powerade. The other meal was the French Toast Loaf with a yogurt parfait "dessert", an orange juice and bottled water:

July2708031.jpg

July2708036.jpg

July2708037.jpg

This was all wonderful - DS wanted the doughnut and juice for his breakfast. It was like the original Krispy Kremes. DH and I split the croissant and french toast and loved both. The yogurt parfait was shared three ways, although DS doesn't like the granola, and was so good we started making these when we got home to take advantage of summer berries in the grocery (I did mention this trip was way back in July, right?)

2 CS: Fries, cheese sauce, hotdogs, cracker jacks and sodas

July2708091.jpg

All very good!

Hotdog with cheese sauce:

July2708094.jpg

Hot dog with mustard, onions and sauerkraut:

July2708095.jpg

Smoked Ham and Black Diamond Cheddar on a Multigrain Bun - this was delicious. Hot and melty and the bun was toasted:

July2708127.jpg

Roast Beef and Brie on Ciabatta Roll - we didn't like this as much. The brie had a very strong flavor. Otherwise the rest of the sandwich was very good.

July2708128.jpg

July2708129.jpg

Made to Order Salad - too much dressing, but otherwise very good!

July2708132.jpg

Coconut Chocolate Bar - this was incredibly good! It has a graham crust, coconut and chocolate. Not a 7 layer/magic cookie bar, but wonderful in it's own right:

July2708123.jpg

Apple Caramel tart - we thought this would be dry and uber sweet, but it was one of the best desserts on the whole trip. We were disappointed we didn't try it until our last night.

July2708124.jpg

key lime pie - this was also really good, especially the whipped cream!
