Still looking for pics of 1) whispering canyon; 2) ohana; 3) mama melrosa's; 4) brown derby and 5) tony's town square.

Thanks a bunch!

Nice ambience but not our favorite meal of our last trip.

I am pretty sure that you can get these rolls at any supermarket:

The Cold Water Lobster Corn Bisque was okay. Not great but I did not leave any in the bowl, either.

The Coconut Shrimp was outstanding, probably the best thing we ate during this lunch.

The Cobb Salad had too much going on. I would not toss it all together next time, the flavors got lost in the mess. This is pre-toss:

My wife got the Fresh Egg Linguini Pasta. She did not love the pasta - not too much flavor. But I got to eat all of her clams and one of her shrimp and they were flavorful and cooked to perfection.

We both really liked the Grapefruit Cake.

The Flourless Chocolate Cake, however, was not our favorite.

Don't forget to look for the Hidden Mickey just outside the entrance:

Thanks for the pics! I am beginning to think I need to mark this one off our list.

I would not do it again for the prices that they charge. We used 2 Disney Dining credits for this and it was not nearly as good as our trip to Tusker House or Liberty Tree Tavern for just one credit.

school bread from Norway

It looks like Tinkerbell & her fairy friends used some pixie dust and shrunk our beloved schoolbread to pixie size! :scared1:

By the way, not liking coconut shouldn't stop anyone -- it's just a bit on the outside.

That's exactly what I was thinking

See it just shows you that different people have different experiences. Last year our dinner was fantastic there! Great service and great food. I had the duck and venison entree, and enjoyed it (I'm particular about my duck, too). My girlfriend had the grouper and raved about it. My mother doesn't like the asparagus there, but it's because she likes to cook vegetables until they're mush.... my girlfriend and I agreed that they were well prepared. I rank other places ahead of it (Cal. Grill, Flying Fish and Jiko), but we certainly weren't disappointed.
Curiously enough, someone opened a Brown Derby here in Albany! http://www.thehollywoodbrownderby.com/

Thanks for the pics! I am beginning to think I need to mark this one off our list.

Don't!!!!!

This was THE best meal of our trip last year. It was amazing! I had the fillet and it was so much better then the one at Le Cellier. Mom had the half chicken which was amazing. The grapefruit cake and the banana toffee tower were also the best desserts we had on the trip. I say give it a chance, it's all a matter of taste.

A few from Raglan Road:

Here are a few pics from our Sept. 2008 trip with free dining.

Here's a sweet almond pretzel from the Bakery in Norway. DH and I shared this. The almonds kept falling off as we ate it and it was funny to watch the birds eat them. They were 4 times the size of their mouths, but somehow they managed to eat them.

Chocolate shake. In 95+ degree heat, this really hit the spot!

here you go :) This was one of the best dinners we had in June and can't wait to eat there again in March!

My husband & I both enjoyed the all you can eat skillet

We had lunch at 50's PTC in HS. This was the day before my birthday, so we celebrated that.

I had the haddock fish sandwich. Now I'm from WI (home of the Friday night fish fry) and haddock is my fish of choice, but this was not nearly as good.

I also got the strawberry shake as my drink.

Florida-MomsBirthday-055.jpg

DH got the pot roast and a diet coke. He liked both. :goodvibes

Florida-MomsBirthday-056.jpg

For dessert I had the smores. I had always wanted to try them here. They even "decorated" them for my b-day.

I thought they were "okay." I guess I prefer ice cream!

Florida-MomsBirthday-058.jpg

DH got the brownie sundae, an old "stand by" for us. As always it was delicious.

Florida-MomsBirthday-059.jpg

As you can see, we like to bring Mickey with us everywhere we eat and he likes to "present" our meals. However, poor Mickey got a little tipsy when he saw the brownie sundae and he "fell in." Here he is after this incident ...

And here is how he got all cleaned up again ...

Breakfast at 1900 Park Faire on my actual 40th birthday morning. This was so much fun! The Mad Hatter saw my 40th b-day button which DH lovingly made me wear all day and he kept yelling out to the entire restaurant ... "40! She's 40!"

Here is some of our food. Everything was so yummy!!

This was dinner on my 40th b-day. It was at Yachtsman Steakhouse. We loved this place and everything was delicious and romantic and special!

Bread:

This was my dinner - ribeye (not on the menu that night but they accommodated my special request for a well-done ribeye and it was delicious!!!!!!!):

Florida-MomsBirthday-121.jpg

Dh had the t-bone and he ate every last bite.

My b-day treat:

Florida-MomsBirthday-123.jpg

Plus we still got to order other desserts too!

This is mine. It is listed on the receipt as "seasonal dessert". It was a carmel apple thing and that swirly thing is a coconut cookie which was OH so yummy! Plus ice cream of course. I was so stuffed after this meal, but even now over 2 months later, my mouth waters when I think of how good all of this was.

Florida-MomsBirthday-126.jpg

DH got the trio sorbet and he didn't like it at all. It was really the only "downer" to this wonderful, fabulous meal. However, we were both so stuffed, we just shared my 2 desserts and all was good!

Florida-MomsBirthday-127.jpg

This meal should have cost $110.32, but of course it was free with free dining. What a nice added treat to this great b-day dinner!

Dinner at Planet Hollywood. We paid out of pocket for this meal, using our $15 coupon we received with our package.

We split this appetizer:

Texas Tostadas - five crispy mini tortillas topped with barbeque chicken, sauteed onions, Monterey Jack and sharp cheddar cheese with guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo $8.45

Florida-MomsBirthday-133.jpg

We also split this burger:

BBQ Bacon Cheddar Burger - our classic burger finished with hickory smoked bacon, tangy sweet barbecue sauce and sharp cheddar cheese $11.95

Florida-MomsBirthday-134.jpg

One evening, DH and I split this for dinner at our food court (POFQ - Sassagoula Food Court).

They allowed us to have the grapes as dessert. We actually were sick of real desserts and when I saw those grapes and that salad, it looked so good (my Mom would be proud!):

DH and I LOVE Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD. We ate there twice on this trip. This is our food from trip #1:

Me: Barbeque chicken quesadilla. This is my favorite thing at WGPE. I actually got it just a few weeks ago when we were back at Disney. Twice in 2 months ... HEAVEN!

Florida-MomsBirthday-137.jpg

DH got this sandwich - both times we ate at WGPE on this trip. It was the turkey hero and it had real, hand-cut thick turkey and those homemade chips were super good!

Florida-MomsBirthday-138.jpg

For dessert, we each got this ...

Florida-MomsBirthday-139.jpg

frozen yogurt with cookie pieces. OMG! This was better than real ice cream and the cookie on top was so moist and good!!!

If you have never eaten at WGPE, especially when on the dining plan ... you MUST try it. This is my all-time favorite counter service meal in all of WDW.
