This is a cookie a CM gave me from Starring Rolls Bakery

Aren't these great. I bought a couple of them home. Nice to be able enjoy one today. Even without Mickey's face on it. :goodvibes

Here are some pictures from Teppan Edo! This meal was one of my top meals of the trip!!!!! I had the scallops and they were heavenly!

Everything on the very hot grill (over 500 degrees-they told us many times...)

My scallops. The veggies are pretty much gone. When she dished them up she told us to eat them while they were hot. So we did.

The filet my mom had. She said it was fabulous!

I hope those 2 in the front are about to kiss! lol Or she is in his face very upset!

Thank you for posting these! I just made reservations for here. DH seemed to be impressed by it and even though we have 2 toddlers, we are trying to do half romantic half 'kid' restaurants. Looks awesome!

We ate here before we had the kitchen sink...

This is what my mom & dad had. I don't remember what it was called, but it was their version of a California roll with pineapple added. We had this too it was tastey, but not as good as the Shrimp Tempura Roll! That was to die for. I have more pictures, but I will have to post them later. They are not on this computer.

They also had the sticky wings. DSis doesn't like fish...

Great pics!!! I've never actually seen a kitchen sink before!!! Thank you for posting!

So was Teppan Edo better than other Japanese steakhouses?

100_1342.jpg

Antipasto - Yummy

Cosmic Rays - Tomorrowland, Magic Kingdom
100_1381.jpg

Cheeseburger and fries - was awful, despite the fact that they had JUST opened it tasted dry and old. I will never eat this again.

Garden View Lounge - Grand Floridian Resort
100_1412.jpg

Buckingham Palace, tea sandwiches - yummy!

100_1413.jpg

Swan pastry filled with a Bailey's Irish Cream and a Chocolate-dipped Strawberry - yummo!

Sci-FI Drive-In Diner - Hollywood Studios
100_1451.jpg

finally a decent Cheeseburger!! It was delish and was served with your choice of either fries or a chilled melon and cucumber salad. I had the salad!

California Grill - Contemporary Resort
100_1455.jpg

Heirloom Tomato w/ roasted garlic flatbread - this was just OK.

Kona Cafe - Polynesian Resort
100_1457.jpg

Pineapple-Macadamia Nut Pancakes w/ ham. Pancakes were yummy, ham was dry and tasteless. Order this with either bacon or sausage, skip the ham.

Great pics!!! I've never actually seen a kitchen sink before!!! Thank you for posting!

So was Teppan Edo better than other Japanese steakhouses?

Actually we only have one that I know if near us and some friends of ours tried it and said it was way over priced and not very good at all, so we haven't tried it. Many many years ago we ate at one on vacation, but I really don't remeber anything about it to compare it. DH is much more of a sushi fan so we generally go to sushi bars instead of the Japanese steakhouses. We have been to many sushi bars... :goodvibes

I do know that I loved it along with the other 8 people in our party. Our chef was also very good and entertaining. It is definately on our list of places to go again.

Turkey Leg
School Bread
ry%3D400

Also, my first but far from my last. I loved everything about the school bread (Thank you DIS for making me aware of it)

And, thanks BankBunny for posting a pic of the new school bread. I was curious to see what it looked like with the caramel icing instead of the white icing. I read on another thread that they started toasting the coconut, too, but that doesn't look toasted to me.

I didn't thnik that that school bread really tasted like it was caramel ontop, but it was also my first one so I wouldn't really know if it tasted different or not. Either way I really like it and will definately get another next trip. For what it's worth I just thought I got what that was cooked a little dark ontop.

Angus Burger w/Bacon and Cheddar
ry%3D400

DH and this and really anjoyed it compared to your basic counter service burger. It doesn't take much to make him happy when it comes to food. He's kind of a plain jane.

Colony Salad
ry%3D400

I had the salad and really liked it. It was refreshing after all the hot dogs, pizzas and burgers. I always like a good salad with lots of "stuff" in it.

Caramel Apple Tart
ry%3D400

DH had this for dessert (which is rare for him, he doesn't often get dessert). He loved the tart, but couldn't finish all of the ice cream.

Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake
ry%3D400

OH MY GOD! I think this tied with Ger's Bread and Butter Pudding for the world's best dessert. Between the toffee and the chocolate and the ice cream and the rich layer of cake it was pure heaven.
