I must have this BUT was it this

Focaccia and Pocket Sandwiches
Freshly baked all natural breads with Yukon Gold Parmesan potato chips
Roast Beef and Chedder (oven warmed) - thinly sliced Niman Ranch beef, sharp cheddar, mixed baby greens, tomato, Horseradish sauce and Dijon Aioli

or this

Fire-Roasted Focaccia Melts
Freshly baked in all natural breads
Rotisserie BBQ Beef - slices of house roasted Niman Ranch rotisserie beef, sautéed mushrooms, carmelized onions and Wolfgang's signature BBQ sauce, topped with mozzarella, rolled in warm, all natural garlic focaccia bread. Served with a side of sour cream slaw

I'm guessing the second one *** i can see the 'slaw but you never know could of been subbed out. TY

i'm not the OP (and they may have already responded), but that's definitely foccacia melt. i had the chicken tortilla focaccia melt and that's the same type of bread. it was TO DIE FOR and i can't wait to get another one! although i did ask if i could sub the slaw for something else (not much of a slaw girl) and the CM that day said no.

Hi everyone! I am coming in need of your advice!! :worship: :worship: I hope this will be an ok place to ask.

We are arriving at an earlier time than anticipated Dec 13th. (touch down at 11am) So I think we will be touring the monorail resorts to see the Christmas decore.

That being said, We will be in need of a great meal! :) DH, DS 4 and dd 3. I made all my other res but that day is booked. I mainly was thinking (in order) dinner at Chef Mickeys, 1900 Park Fare, CRT, LTT. However, booked solid. Have been calling a week straight.

So what other options that would make for a great first meal at DW? We were hoping to see the Osborne lights after dinner (6ish) and we have base tickets only. I already have res further in the trip for CP with Pooh, and Hollywood and Vine with Jojo and Little Einsteins. So......... now what? lol Any ideas or suggestions? Even Quick Service meals... something along our way..doesn't matter. Just need a back up plan.

Since you are touring the monorail resorts, how about going to O'hana in the Poly???

I'm sure that's way booked already...

If you are so inclined... go to Down Town Disney and go to Earle of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck Express... Lots going on over there and it's decorated nicely also... I think you can even get your picture taken with Santa... you could 2 years ago...

Also... check out Grand Floridian Cafe... it's also very nice...

Or Capt. Cooks at the Poly...

WOW..funny you should bring this up because this afternoon, I too was looking for a meal on the Monorail for that same night! Sat Dec 13th. Nothing was available except for GFC which is what I took. No, ohana, kona, and definately no character meals were available. Since you are going to DHS for the lights perhaps something over that way like Spoodles, or 50's PTC.

If you are paying OOP for this meal I suggest you check out the eateries at the Swan and Dolphin.:thumbsup2

Many people are recommending The Wave, which is the new TS restaurant at the Contemp. Easy to get ADRs so far, as it is little advertised.

Also heard good things about Grand FL Cafe, and Kona.

Hope you get something!

honeystar - since you are doing the monorail tour, why not try for ADR at Kona Cafe. Lunch hours are noon to 3PM. It is sometimes way easier to get lunch ressie than dinner.

here is their menu

We love Kona lunch.......

If you are still set on dinner then a 4:45 pm for 50's Prime Time would work out good......that way after you could head over to Osbourne Lights after. (we love the food at 50's too!)

Honeystar...
Recently (last sat 9/13) I had dinner at Chef Mickey w/o reservations...I had tried and tried to get an adr but with free dining it was just impossible...so I tried my luck by showing up at opening (5pm) and see if I could be seated and believe it or not i was seated right away, well with a 10 min wait. Dinner was great and we had a blast. There was 4 of us and it was my son's birthday. This has happened in the past too, we have tried to walk up to Chef Mickey and we were never turned away even after the ADR CM's said there was no way and not to even try to go up to the counter. So if your just touring the hotels try and make CH about 5 and see what happens... have a back up plan but in my opinion they are the best at making the magic happen for you!
Good Luck and have a great visit!!

I can finally contribute to this thread!!!

Here's some from Tutto Italia:

005.jpg

Branzino in Padella - striped bass filet with sweet tomatoes, zucchini and Sardinian "fregoal" $35
006.jpg

Penne Caprese with crushed tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and basil $24
007.jpg

They brought us this yummy dessert and sang us a song for our anniversary.
009.jpg

We then ordered our desserts that came with our dining plan.
Copetta Sotto Bosco - berries, zabaglione cream gelato and chocolate sauce $14.00
010.jpg

I don't see the dessert I ordered on allears.net but it was just okay. I think I was spoiled by the yummy chocolate dessert they brought us!

Thank you very much! I think I will print out their menu and just have it on hand. So if, that day, we feel like their food, that is what we will have. Better to be prepared!! :)

Oh no, I don't mind a late lunch. But we might not get to the resort until 1230, then to the room around 1ish. So any time after that. DH said that we will probably be starving and will probably want to eat a little something right at ASmo. So I guess we will wait and see if we eat as soon as we arrive or if we can hold off a little.

Oh good to know! WEll, that is something we will definitely try!!! Do you think I could try calling when we land to see if they have any cancelations? Would that be worth it? Do they have lunch, or just dinner?

Thank you guys! I have a lot to work with now!! :dance3:

Ok, I'm replying to something I saw six pages back, but:

Lobster-broccoli baked stuffed potato (at Bluezoo). OMG. I think I'd walk back to Florida right now to get one.

Is it wrong that the ONLY reason I'm so sad that we missed most of the WS at Epcot (short trip, impatient toddler) is that I missed the opportunity to buy pastries around the world? We even missed the cream horns, 'cause we were so stuffed from lunch and didn't think carrying cream around in the 90-degree heat was a great idea.

oh yeah!!!

You need to go over to the cruise threads and check them out
