ADULT:

DW's food...
Sacchetti - pasta pillows filled with ricotta and mozzarella cheese and pomdoro sauce $19 -
Both my wife and son got this. My son was not impressed. My wife said our DDs food was better.
P5120015.jpg

My meal:
Grigliata di Pesce con Salmoriglio - grilled prawns, striped bass, salmon $27

It was killer good!!! I was happy to see the portions were smaller.:thumbsup2

P5120014.jpg

For dessert... there was a running joke... It seemed I was always the one who picked the best dessert. Hands down, all week, everyone at the table ordered a different dessert, we all sampled each ones food and dessert, and all week, we all agreed I picked the best dessert!!!:woohoo:
What was my secret??? NO CHOCOLATE!!!

You see... I have this theory... After eating at almost every single TS at Disney... I have come to the conclusion that most people order a chocolate dessert. Because of that I have arrived with the assumption that if they sell THAT MUCH chocolate dessert... they will have to cut some corners somewhere. now don't get me wrong... some of the best chocolate desserts I've ever eaten were on Disney property. The wave at coral Reef is KILLER. A few others pop in my mind... but overall... I'm not impressed with the chocolate desserts at WDW. (sorry SlightlyGoofy:happytv: ). I find most of them to be dry and rather tasteless. My idea is to try the ones that are NOT chocolate, and the ones that cost less. (yeah... thats different when your on the DDP...) but its my conclusion, and I was right all week.

DW ordered:

Mocha Tiramisu - mascarpone cheese, espresso coffee, savoiardi biscuits and chocolate $9.00 -
It was really good.

P5120025.jpg

DS ordered:

Gianduja - Chocolate Torta - chocolate and hazelnut torte with whipped cream and raspberry sauce $10.00

It was great as well.

P5120026.jpg

And I had the Zuppa Inglese - trifle cake with candied fruit, vanilla cream and meringue $9.00
I gotta tell ya... it was SINFULLY good!!!
Our server actually said he didn't like this dessert. He didn't recommend it because it was "too sweet", of course he said if I like really sweet desserts that I'd love it. he was right. It was SOOOOOO amazing.

P5120023.jpg

So how good were the desserts??? This picture of my wife (which don't do her justice...;) ) says it all.....:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

P5120027.jpg

She did that just for the picture. No, we're not THAT redneck here in NC!:lmao:
But the funny thing was when the two girls who came in and sat down behind us saw her lick her plate and me snap the picture.:rotfl:
They couldn't stop laughing.
My wife demanded I explain that she didn't really lick the plate....:snooty: She merely did that for the picture....

Ok my first time posting pictures, lets see if this works.

Thank you to everyone who's posted photos on this thread. We're getting ready to make our dining choices for 6 months from now (sound so ridiculous) and all of your photos are definitely making it easier for us to make a decision about each meal!

Thanks again!:)

Does anyone know if the GFC is the only place that serves that yummy looking chocolate "fondue"? My DD would love it but we aren't planning on going to GFC. May have to change plans....
