SEDebtFree, I am delighted to tell you that Starring Rolls right next to the Brown Derby serves Cobb Salad as well as the flourless chocolate cake, for far less cash than the BD, and it is a CS. They also occasionally have the grapefruit cake. No tipping either. The Cobb Salad is fantastic!

:worship: :worship: :worship: Thank you!!!

I am not sure that Dick's is still around
Dick's is a chain. There are ones in Dallas, San Antonio, San Diego, etc. I don't think they are affiliated with Dick's Pawn Shops in the MB area.
Dicks was definately at Myrtle a few years ago. The employee at Dick's Pawn Shop said they were owned by the same person. He didn't speak really good English, so at least thats what I THINK he said.

Just wanted to chime in here and say that I thought the food at Brown Derby was as good as or better than the food at California Grill. I'm not sure why it gets such a bad rap - we ate there twice on our honeymoon, and both times had meals that would rival anything at the snooty Los Angeles restaurants we like. Our meal at CA Grill was also good, but not the transcendent experience it has been made out to be

I was VERY VERY VERY impressed with CA Grill's food. As far as a TS meal, I give it a score of 110 out of 100!!! The sushi was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO amazing!!! The sauce was just savor every drop good!!! Everything we ordered was just amazing. My only let down was (and sorry Samantha Brown, but your WRONG!) the view from CA Grill is NOTHING to write home about. The fireworks were too far away for my tastes. The music sounded like it was piped in from 2 empty tomato cans connected by a piece of string, and it cut in and out all during the show. The company was nothing to mention either.
I spent half my time on the balcony trying to avoid all the drunks sloshing their stinky booze all over the place. (too drunk to notice or care), and it was a VERY VERY long meal. Our meal was around 3.5 hours long. Thats a bit long to be at one restaurant.
I may have to try Starring Rolls!!! I'm considering trying BD as well!

Just got to say when I left, that tray of little Tabasco bottles would be EMPTY!!! Lord knows Disney don't do spicy food too well!!! I'd use them all week long!!! I even considered bringing a mini bottle of Blairs with me on the next trip!!! I wish you could buy those little micro-bottles of Tabasco!

Then your signature could say "I went to Club 33 and all I got were these 3 dozen lousy Tabascos!" :rotfl2:

I don't see these listed on the menu at allears. Is the cobb salad a smaller version than what is served at the BD & what is the price? I love cobb salad, so I might have to add The Starring Rolls to my list :thumbsup2

Thanks!
And I keep reading that HS doesn't have any good CS spots! I am so visiting The Starring Rolls when I am there in Sep. :woohoo:

We always used to feel that way as well, but the Backlot Express has really come back with their veggie sandwich and black bean salad - they're delicious!

OK peeps...wheres all the food at?!! :confused3 Enough chit-chat, more food! ;)

Try looking at minimus dot biz they sell all kinds of "travel" size stuff. They even have the tiny tabasco bottles. I've always wanted to order something from there but, haven't had the need yet.

Loving the food "porn". I'm going in December so hopefully I will have some pics to share.

You are in luck.
Cost Plus World Market sells the tiny bottles of Tabasco.
It also has many other favorite condiments in tiny purse size!
Check out their Gourmet Dept....in the aisle of baskets full of fun stuff!!

The No Way Jose at Beaches & Cream! - 3 Scoops of ice cream (your choice), peanut butter and chocolate syrup, peanut butter and chocolate chips, whipped cream and cherries.

MmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmMmmmmmmmmmmmm::yes::

thanks for the beaches and cream pics!!! we're eating there for the first time in december.

how are the onion rings? i'm thinking the burger and onion rings look right up my alley! diet be damned!!! :rotfl:

MMMMM is all I can say. The onion rings are the perfect combination of crispy, not too greasy (hey, they are onion rings), and sweet tasting onion. The burger is perfect. I don't like burgers too thick or too charbroiled and this was good. Also, the fixings were fresh and yummy.

I have not had a bad meal at Beaches and Cream. You can't go wrong, no matter what you order.

Here are a few more from Beaches and Cream:

OMG that cheese steak looks soooo good....hmmmmm do I order a cheese steak and forget the ice cream or do I order a hot dog and fries and have ice cream...hmmmmmmm....:scratchin Maybe I can convince DH to share a cheese steak with me, that way I get both the cheese steak and ice cream ;)

So weird..I dont see the cheese steak on the menu on both here and allears :confused3 Did they take it off?

Hi
when did you get the onion Rings? if you dont mind me asking?
I dont see them on the new menu I hope they still have them!
they are sooooo Yummy!!and looking forward to having them in sept.
Thanks!!

We got them last August, but I think they are a choice (just not shown on Allearsnet). I have seen others who have recently ordered them.

And I believe the "cheesesteak" (as I called it) is the:
Roast Beef Sub - grilled roast beef with au jus and topped with provolone cheese, grilled onions and peppers $11.49 (allearsnet). My DH always orders things plain, so he got this minus the onions and peppers.
