I should never look at these pics on an empty stomach.... oh how I long for the end of Aug......

lntsmom... Sorry to hear you weren't impressed with San Angel or the food at Sci-Fi. We LOVED both. We thought both of them had some of the best food we had there. I've heard lots of negative posts about both of them though, as well as lots of positive ones, so I'd say both are worth a second try. As far as the runny sauce at San Angel... Authentic Mexican sauce IS runny. The cheesy "thicker" yellow stuff your probably used to is Tex-Mex, not Mexican. The more you eat the runny white sauce, the more it grows on you:thumbsup2 . Soon, you wouldn't want the thick yellow sauce anymore.;)

I love Nopalitos (cactus). When we went it was great, but I seem to remember there not being much cactus on my plate either. We keep a jar of the slimy sliced strips of cactus (Nopalitos) in our fridge 365 days a year. Both myself and my son love it. BUT we only eat it sparaticly, too much is not a good thing.

No, I promise... I won't bring back the anti Tex-Mex arguments again!!!:happytv: :rotfl2: :lmao: If you want to see them you'll just have to go back about 30 pages or so. But lets keep them there!!!

On with the food porn!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Hey there...one clarification. It wasn't runny cheese sauce...it was just noodles that hadn't be drained! The side dish on the kids' chicken meal is spaghetti with what I guess is supposed to be sauce, but is really just stewed tomato chunks. Everything on the plate was swimming in what appeared to be the water the pasta was cooked in...either that or the "sauce" is water based instead of tomato based. The result was that everything on the plate was water-logged and pretty much inedible.

While we would give SciFi another try...the food was edible and the service wasn't horrific...I cannot imagine any circumstances under which we would go back to the San Angel Inn. I dug up my reciept...I paid $41 for a meal that was at best unremarkable. There are just too many goodies available in Epcot to waste time there!

Now, here's a place that knows how to do kids' meals right. Sorry the photo is dark...this is my older son and the goujons at Raglan Road.

Could you identify the dishes pictured please?? Especially the sausage.

When I looked at the pics again in your post I also wanted to know what the sausage dish was. It looks GOOD and I'm not a huge sausage fan.

I'm sure the "owner" of the sausage will chime in, but this is the only thing I could find on the Le Cellier menu that it might be:

Spicy Chicken and Chipotle Sausage - with creamy polenta and sweet onion jam $9.99

Yes -- that was me! They played my voicemail about a meet we are trying to organize in late August to have Dole Whips in honor of Bob Varley. Come join us if you'll be there, right now it's looking like 8/30 will be the day. :goodvibes
