[COLOR="Green" I just can't wait to try the Sticky Toffee Pudding. I have only had Sticky Toffee Pudding ice cream, but it is my absolute favorite flavor. Then there are the Hobb Nobbs I plan to buy. I know I can buy them on line, but my DH just thinks it's silly to buy them on line and is telling me that I have to wait for our trip to get some. Maybe I'll just secretly order some and hide them in the house. Although, I won't have to hide them long b/c they'll be eaten quickly.[/COLOR]

OK, I'm lost. What is a Hobb Nobb? I don't think I've ever seen one down there.:confused3

By the way, the Sticky Toffee pudding is great. It's my favorite dessert at the Rose and Crown. I also love their mushroom appetizer.:cloud9: It's very filling and could make a meal.

Did someone say Sticky Toffee Pudding!?

Sorry, I should know better to post after taking cold meds. The Hob Nobs aren't sold at the Rose and Crown, but in the UK Pavilion. I forgot the name of the shop, but it's the same one that sells the tea. I remember it being on a wall opposite a couple of cash registers. They are made from crunchy rolled oats on one side with milk chocolate on the other. The last time we were there, my youngest DS picked up the tube and insisted they were his most favorite thing in the world. He actually had never had them, but he was being so funny about his absolute love for them that I bought them. I actually ended up eating most of them, b/c they are just so good. It's probably a good thing they aren't available in stores here in Texas, b/c I would probably eat a tube a week.

ah sara jane was one of my best friends!! i lived with her for a couple of weeks after i broke my ankle because her apartment was on the ground floor.
wonder if ive served anyone on here... maybe shouldnt ask incase they complain of awful service :rotfl:

I was wondering this too. Rose & Crown is one our FAVORITE Epcot restaurants - a must-do every trip. And one of the reasons we enjoy it so much is largely due to the wonderful service and friendly CMs we've always had. My daughter is in a wheelchair so we've always been fortunate to enjoy an outdoor table for dinner and Illuminations. Cannot tell you how many times we've lingered in the restaurant after closing because our CM would sit down with us at our table for a chat - so friendly and so fun! My daughters just loved listening to their accents!

So -- no complaints from this DISer regarding service!:thumbsup2

that calls for an explanation! you have to get an account with a photo hosting website. i use photobucket.com. it's free. just create an account there and follow the directions to upload pictures. then when your picture is uploaded, it will give you several codes for the picture. the one you need for this forum is the last one listed, starts with

What is that and where did you get it? It looks heavenly good!:cloud9:

It's the mango pie from the Yak and Yeti! It was delicious! You can also get it at the CS there as well!

Oh, OK! I know the shop you are talking about. I'll have to check these out. I'll be on the DDP. I wonder if you can get these with a snack credit?

Thanks for posting that, I love that shop!! I don't know if it's the same store, or one connected to it. In that area there is a store that sells tons of plaid scarves, and I can't wait to get back there and buy tons of stuff. I just love plaid. Two of the top things on my must buy list are Hob Nobs and plaid scarves.

My sister loves tea also and I picked her up some when I was there. She won't drink it because she's scared she'll like it too much and won't be able to get it anymore.

I later found out we have it at one of our grocery stores.

Hi Everyone! I just spent the afternoon looking at EVERY page and photo in this thread! I am not even going to attempt the first version.

But here are my additions, pretty sure they have not been posted yet, at least not in this thread. And I know the appetizer at Marrakesh is new, so probably not in the older thread either. Here goes:

Francesalad-1.jpg

Chefs de France - Salade de chevre chaud: Baked goat cheese with walnuts, fresh grapes, tomatoes, endives and arugula salad

Marrakeshapps-1.jpg

Marrakesh Restaurant – (Left to Right) Mint Tea, HUGE Side Order of Hummus (for only $5.95! – not on menu), and Goat Cheese Sails: Goat cheese rounds encompassing finely chopped Kalamata olives and cucumbers, served on tabouleh and with crunchy bread triangles (my description of the appetizer since the menu online is out-dated).

Holy moly - that is a HUGE side order of hummus!

Will they give you more chips if you request it? How did you like the appy at Chefs de France? I'm trying it with my DD for the first time this June; would love some opinions.

I just finished looking through all 94 pages in this thread, and MAN am I hungry! I'm so happy this thread exists, gives me something to do when I'm bored.
