Pssssst to everyone concerning the McRibs:

In publix, there is a meat-free frozen section and in that section you will find Gardenburger's BBQ Meatless Ribs. They taste and chew like the McRib. Sure, they are meatless, but who cares!? I'm a veggie and when I feel like meat, or think of meat, I eat that. YUM! Stick it in a bun, with some of the onions and pickles like MickeyD's and there ya go!

Sweet!! I was going to the store today. I'll have to see if we have that, and buy some. Thank you!!

CLEAN UP AT Wit's desk, STAT! Drool Spillage! Mmmhmmm.....lovin the food pron.

I know this is totally off topic, but the meatless riblets are insanely good! (and pretty healthy). If you go to gardenburger.com, you can use the product locaterto find them near you! They carry them in Pathmark here in NJ! I love them on a light bun and with sweet potato fries!

And since I can't bear to post on the food pron forum without pics:

One of my favorite desserts:

No problem! Hope you like them!

DRAT!! How is the vegetable curry...I have never eaten anything like that but it sounds "safe". (And I wonder why my 5 yr old has so many food issues :lmao: )

The vegetable curry is good! Here it is:

My server warned me that it was spicy, but it wasn't, just mild really. The grains were tasty, they had a slightly sweet taste to them and the bread that came with it was nice. It was definitely british curry, not indian or japanese. It was somewhat soupy, but managable.

was ur server called susan by any chance? she always told people it was spicy, even though its not really!

i really enjoy the curry, its mild, kind of like a korma and its made with coconut milk and a nice selection of root vegetables. if u are not sure about the quinoa they are usually happy to sub that for chips or extra breads or whatever

I am just really loving these pics. I like to look at them while I eat b/c I tend to eat less when I do.

I need to pick princessjilly's brain since she worked at the Rose & Crown. I'm torn between Tamarind-glazed Pork Loin, Shepherd's Pie, Bangers and Mash (especally the braised cabbage and bacon). In your opinion, what is the best lunch option of those?

Thanks for your opinion. :goodvibes

What is that and where did you get it? It looks heavenly good!:cloud9:

my personal favourite at dinner was the bangers and mash... a lot of people find it quite salty tho but i love salty food so its good for me... the bacon is slighlty smoked so it gives a kind of smoky taste to the gravy, but you can ask for it without the cabbage and bacon if you dont fancy it. the cabbage and bacon bits are served together so u couldnt have one without the other.

However when i ate for lunch... i was always torn between the bangers and the shepherds pie, usually ending up going for the SP... its reallllly good!! it looks small but its VERY filling!

The pork was previously on the menu without the tamarind glaze, i only got to try a bite or two when we did the new menu trials, but from what i remember the glaze was slightly spicy but sweet at the same. most people enjoyed the pork and from what i remember the new potatoes that are served with the pork are really nice!

Nope, I believe her name was Sarah Jane. Yeah, it really isn't spicy at all! :thumbsup2

ah sara jane was one of my best friends!! i lived with her for a couple of weeks after i broke my ankle because her apartment was on the ground floor.
wonder if ive served anyone on here... maybe shouldnt ask incase they complain of awful service :rotfl:

Thank you so much!! I think what I'll do is have my DS10 order the bangers, I'll get the sheppards pie, and then we'll share. We do this when we go out to eat since he now orders from the adult menu. I just can't wait to try the Sticky Toffee Pudding. I have only had Sticky Toffee Pudding ice cream, but it is my absolute favorite flavor. Then there are the Hob Nobs I plan to buy. I know I can buy them on line, but my DH just thinks it's silly to buy them on line and is telling me that I have to wait for our trip to get some. Maybe I'll just secretly order some and hide them in the house. Although, I won't have to hide them long b/c they'll be eaten quickly.
