I ordered an arrangement to be in our room when we arrived at SSR this past trip. (The trip before, it worked without a problem. Our room wasn't available when we checked in, so we just headed to a theme park. The flowers were on the table when we got there.)
This time, the room was ready. I wasn't surprised that the flowers weren't there, because they hadn't had time to deliver them yet. I was disappointed a few hours later, though, when they still hadn't shown up at the resort - much less the room.
Somewhere in here, I finally realized I'd never turned my cell phone back on after the flight. Sure enough, there were several messages from the Disney Florist. I called them back to see what was up.
I'd indicated online that I wanted the card to say, "Welcome Home to SSR! - Your Pal, Mickey"
Their policy doesn't allow messages signed in this way, so they weren't able to make the delivery. I agreed that they could change it to "Your Disney Friends" instead, and they arrived at the front desk not too long after.
I was really surprised that they wouldn't let me send a welcome package to our family "from Mickey." That was kind of the whole point in spending that much money on flowers in the first place.
I usually like ordering things online instead of over the phone. If we use the Disney Florist again, though, I think I'll call.
