So this is my third trip and I always get the email to contact a Disney Dream Maker to have candy/balloon/flower surprises delivered to your resort. I was thinking about doing this since it's a special trip this year and we are bringing my niece and DBF's two sisters for the first time.
So I was just wondering has anyone used this service and if so were you pleased? Are the prices justified and the product you receive worth it? It just seemed a little pricy to me where most things are $55 and up with a $9 delivery charge...Any and all info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks;)

We were there last year for ds's 2nd b-day and we ordered ballooms from the Disney Florist. Although he was happy with what he got, we were very disapointed with the delivery process. When we placed the order we requested that they be delivered to the resort before we checked in so that he would have them in the a.m. when he woke up. (his actually bday morning). We were informed that they it would be no problemand that they would be waiting for us at the front desk when we checked in. When we got there, the balloons were nowhere to be found and the florist shop was closed for the night. We were told that we would have them in the a.m. so he could have them when he woke up. Again, no balloons. Finally we were told that they tried to deliver the balloons but that they could not find a room registered to a guest w/ my son's name. He's 2. He can't have a room in his name. BTW, when we ordered the balloons, we gave them our room reservation # and our name. So they promised to make the deliver while we were at the parks in the morning so that when we returned to our room, they would be waiting for him. So before we walk into our room, my DH gets the video camera ready to capture the expression on DS's face when he sees his balloons. We walk in and NOTHING:headache: They were delivered to my parents room next door. In the end, he loved his balloons and spent all afternoon playing with them. But it was a bit of a pain dealing with the delivery.

One more thing, we paid like $75 for 5 balloons w/ 3 Cars attached to them. That included the tax & delivery. He did LOVE them but I have to say that it is too much for what you get. But, he loved it so I think I wouild do it again.

Last trip I ordered DD and DS each a gift, one was a princess wand, crown, suckers, autograph book and pen, and the other was a pirate hat, eye patches, cand, autograph book and pen. They were very cute and nice, however, I had hoped to have them in the room when we arrived so the kids would be surprised walking in the room. I was not told they could not do this and instead they were at the counter when we checked in and I had to hand them to the kids. I really liked what we got, but if they were not going to be in the room when we arrived I would have just picked up the same things in the park.

We have done wonderful baskets w/ Memories by Betsy for MUCH less $$$ than the Disney Florist. She does deliver them to the front desk but we get EXACTLY what we want and Betsy even will add items that I had purchased myself and mailed to her!

Thanks for the info:goodvibes If they don't deliver to the room as a surprise before you get there then I am probably not going to order anything then. The way it's presented on the site makes it seem as though everything is just sitting in the room for excited children to run in and see lol! Oh well scratch that idea I can spend the $50+ and treat them to better things inside the parks I am sure!
Thanks again:upsidedow

Nothing can be delivered to a resort room prior to the guest's arrival unless you are staying concierge level. Room assignments are not finalized until you check in. If they were to deliver an item to a room and the room assignment changed at the last minute, the gift could go to the wrong party. It has happened. If you order something and do not want it at the front desk, quietly tell the CM that you want it delivered to your room as soon as possible. A runner will take it to your room. You do not have to be in the room unless the gift contains alcohol.
