Disney fighting Bullet Train?

For almost a decade I have watched the whole debacle of High speed trains go through approvals and then disapproval. It started as a response to traffic in florida and went on to be a political volley ball. I-Drive seems to always be the problem if it isn't money but it shouldn't be. I-Drive is a local problem and it needs a local solution such as buses, monorail or the now planned light rail system. High speed rail or a bullet train is a regional solution and as such should not be near I-Drive. http://www.floridahighspeedrail.org/ is the link for the group organizing the High Speed rail and shows some of the history of the project while http://www.cfrail.com/ shows the plans for light rail including a link to OIA and the I-drive loop. 200 mph trains should not be in an area like I-Drive. A route from Daytona to Tampa with light rail connections at OIA make perfect sense as the volume of travelers will have fewer stops and thus more speed and yes Disney is on the way. A train stopping at I-Drive is not going to get up to speed due to the area it will have to travel through and the number of stops it will have to make. There is no doubt that Disney is thinking of itself in this battle but they are right in this case possibly for the wrong reason. Who next will want a stop? Universal and Sea World as well as the hotels all need stops but on the Light Rail system.
