Now the last minute planning for Aug 24th has us scrambling to find ADR's. We were going to stay off property but one morning when I could not sleep I woke at 5am and found a resort and CBR too! We have not told ds where we are staying and he thinks we are staying off property.
So far we have LeCellier for a 2:20 late lunch on arrival day
Tues Whispering Canyon Cafe for 12 pm lunch
Wed 1900 Park Fare Breakfast 10:30am
Thurs lunch Chef Mickeys and dinner at Trails End
Fri 50's Prime Time for 11 am lunch.
On a good note our
travel insurance did reimburse us for the doctors visit to the room, the prescriptions, cough drops and motrin that we bought at Walgreens for ds.
They would not however reimburse for any loss of time because we did activate our passes everyday...even if it was only for an hour or two. Disney can tell when you arrive but they don't know when you leave. We never used our hopper passes and our water park option was only used once at TL and one hour at DQ.
Disney Travel Insurance suggested that I contact Disney accounting to see if they can reinstate our hopper option on our new set of tickets since we were unable to use it for our last trip. They said they could not do it for us. I send all my insurance claims to Disney along with a letter. I'm not sure if they will see it in time but we can only hope. I think it is a long shot and I know that I have read on here that if people ask for things they usually do not get them.
Two weeks after we got home from Disney we had our family picnic reunion. DS was playing volleyball with some young adults and his wrist bent back hard. He went down on the ground....got back up and was moving it. That night he said it only hurt if he moved it backwards in an abnormal position so I told him not to do that...little did I know that it was fractured. He did say on Mon that he didn't think he would be able to play baseball. game was cancelled due to rain. On Tues at VBS he fell in the playground on the same wrist. He said it hurt but not that bad....at lunch that day he said it hurt so bad that he could not pick up his spoon.
Off to urgent care we went and 2 hrs later he came home wih an elbow fracture of the right wrist and a temp cast. We called an orthopedic the next morning and got in at 9am as an emergency visit. I was supposed to be teaching music at our summer VBS.
What a week! One week after that his cast starts falling apart. The girl that put it on him didn't put the while layer on first! He only had the color layer on his cast! She cut that one off and gave him a much nicer cleaner new one. I hope that girl gets told about this!
