What are Disney fast pass and has anybody stayed at the hardrock hotel. Is that for entrance into the park or head of the line privilages for everybody

Hope I can explain this right:

On some rides a fast pass option is offered. You insert your pass (my hotel room card) and the machine will issue a ticket to come back at a specific time. The times that tickets are being issued for are posted above the machines, so look at that first and decide if it is a good time for you. You must have 1 FP ticket for each person wanting to ride. And to insure you all get the same times one person should get all FP. Sometimes there are attendants at the machines if you have a question.

NOTE: Once you recieve a Fast pass, you may not get another one until 1) your window opens or 2) within 1 hour of your ticket window opening(there might be other conditions...I forget at the moment). Don't cut your times too close, or you will miss the opportunity to use your FP Ticket. Any Guide book usually explains this also.

There are seperate entrances for FP holders, and they will not let you in until your ticket opens. We never had a long wait to get on a ride with a FP.

You should never pay for Fast Pass tickets. They are free. We used them on Splash Mountain, Jungle Cruise, Buzz Lightyear, Peter Pan's Flight, Dinosaur, Kilimanjario Falls, and Big Mountain Thunder. You don't need to use them on a high admission ride/show like Mickey's Phil., unless it's really busy.

Have never stayed at Hard rock hotel.

Just wanted to make sure you knew that the HardRock Hotel is at Universal Studios, not at WDW. If you stay at the Hardrock or any hotel on Universal property you are entitled to Head of the Line Privledges for rides at US and IOA.

WDW does not have a front of theline privledges attached to staying at one of their hotels. But anybody in the park can use the FastPass system. Canwegosoon explained very well how WDW operates this system.

Thank you for anwering, I was looking at tickets for WDW, and
the tickets price is $20.00 extra for a tickets. So basically they are taking me for a ride. thank you = you saved me some money.
We are taking about 4 wdw and 1 day at universal studios and
1 day at the cape. we want to see it all and not be stuck in long
lines.

So I am thinking of staying at one hotel at WDW and move to the
hardrock for the other two trips. The last day to stay by the pool

Just wanted to post that there is also an E-ride Ticket...which you do pay extra for. It is like having the park to yourself, and the wait is much shorter. But it is offered only on selected nights.

But FP are good for that day/that ride/ only. I don't understand how people can sell them.

WHen are you going, that might help perdict the need for FP or E-ride Tickets. Good luck planning.

Last year, we did the Kids stay/play free (in MArch) for DVisa holders. It was great.

How did you do that? I have begin looking at the disney card
and wondering if it would be a good deal.


We plan to spend 2 days at the Hardrock to go to Universal Studio, I wish we could go earlier but I work as an Instructor in Arcitic Survival School and it does not end until the third week.

Start reading the boards. Over at Theme Parks & Stragedy board they have a post with tips. Someone put them all on one post and you can print it out.
