Disney FastPass Tickets for the Lines

I did this last time I was there, however I haven't been able to procure much information on the Disney site about purchasing a ticket with this functionality.

Does anyone know how this is available? I would really appreciate any advice or assistance. I'm off to Disney on Monday!

Also, is it even necessary around this time of the year? I know that the park shouldn't be too crowded, I hope.

It has nothing to do with your ticket. Once you are in the park head to your favorite rides and the fast pass machine. The parks will be starting to get very crowded.

You just use your park entry ticket [whichever one you have]. Put your ticket thru the fast pass machine and the machine will give you your ticket back and a fast pass for that ride at no charge.

This time of year is brilliant, but I'm afraid it will be very busy! From a few days before Christmas until New Year's Eve will be crowded but we've always found it settles down, starting New Year's Day.

Just another quick tidbit about FastPass. If you already hold a FastPass for an attraction, you cannot get another FastPass until your first one expires. That is, if you hold a FastPass with a entry time of 12:00-1:00 pm, you cannot get another FastPass until after 1:00 pm. Also, if the parks are really crowded, your best bet would be to get a FastPass early in the day, as if you wait too long, your return time may be later than you were planning on staying in the park...Hope this helps and have a great trip!
