Disney Fantasy ~ October 4, 2014 ~ Eastern Caribbean

Just Barb & Steve Reynolds and Debbie & Bryan Loney confirming we are still part of the FE exchange before the due date! :-)

Hello folks,
Just found your sight. My name is Kathy and I live in north central Florida. My husband & I are going on our 1st ever cruise Oct 5th for the 4 night cruise aboard the Dream. I am so excited. I booked our boarding time this past Wednesday morning @ 12:01 a.m. We are in the 2nd group to board. We are in our early 60's and are sailing with just us two.
My aunt (N.Y.C.) has belonged to DVC since early 80's...Old Key West. We are very fortunate to be given her points annually. We have visited the parks so often I could be a tour guide. I love all things Disney. Looking forward to Food & Wine Festival next month. We're staying @ Boardwalk once again for this event. Nice to be able to partake and just walk across the bridge to our room.
Just want to say hello. Wondering if anybody here will be on same cruise.
Kathy

This group is for the 7 night Fantasy cruise on Oct 4th. There should be another thread for your Dream cruise on the 5th. I'm on my phone otherwise I'd find the thread and post it here for you. Have fun on your cruise!!! You will love it.

I sent PMs to Kpaulson, Anguyen and Monicatheresa28. Please read and respond. We are about to divide our big FE group and I just need you to verify your info. Thanks!

Glad you're still here!

Are you signed up for the FE? Just want to make sure I don't miss anyone who intended to be on the list. :)

Sorry, no. This will be the last leg of a B2B2B2B set of cruises, so we really don't have the luggage room for all the FE stuff we'd need to bring.

Late to the party, but will be cruising with my mother, DS (10), and DS (7). We are also from TN!

Hello Rocking the Docks cruisers! Today is the last day to sign up for the first phase of the FE groups (based on the Facebook group vote to allow cruisers time to make and personalize gifts). As it stands right now, we have 4 separate groups of 24-25 cabins each, with an average total of ~90 people in each group (~50 adults, ~40 kids). I will wait until tonight or tomorrow to publish the breakouts, as there still may be people who sign up today (just had someone sign up this morning!).

I did not assign a group to 3 families that I have not been able to contact via the DIS, FB or private messages. Those families are: Paulson, Nguyen and Brodsky. If these families resurface, they may join the second phase of the FE, which will be for anyone who joins after today's deadline.

The groups were assigned mostly by cabin location. However, there were some families that requested to be in 2 groups or apart/together with family and friends, so each group has cabins on multiple floors.

For the folks who are in 2 groups, you will have 3-4 of the same families in both of your groups due to the number of people that requested 2 groups. It is up to you if you want to give out multiple gifts to the duplicate families.

The only changes we will be making to these lists once they are published are cabin numbers. We still have a handful of folks with GTY cabins unassigned. Please print out a revised list with updated cabins before you leave on your vacation. Most GTYs are assigned 1-2 weeks prior to the cruise (or sooner). I will ask one person in each group to have a whiteboard on their cabin door to list any cabin changes that happen at port.

The only guideline for the FE exchange is to deliver something to every cabin in your group once during the cruise. It could be one gift for the entire cabin to share, or something for each person in the cabin. Home-made or store bought, personalized or not. If you have a gift that will not be used during the cruise or for pirate night, consider delivering it toward the end of the cruise, as that is when gift deliveries typically slow down.

Have fun with it and don't stress! Let's spread some pixie dust on this cruise!

We are not doing the FE exchange but I have a question about it. So does that mean that you would have to have 90 gifts to give to every person in your group?

Not necessarily; many people give one gift per cabin, so around 24 gifts. I usually give out things that are small and easy to pack. In the past my family has given personalized pens and sticky notes with our cruise name and dates on them.

The FE groups are posted on Facebook and I sent PMs on here to Petervol55, alohastitch and MonicaTheresa28. Is there anyone else who is not on Facebook who needs the FE list sent to them?
